Dinner for two, ocean view, one bottle wine, food quality & taste so high like I've never encountered before, all inclusive at $30+tax+tip!! An unheard of bargain for such a place.

OMG! My Husband took me there for a Birthday ocasssion, The salad and bread got to us before the wine. It took about a half hour, it seemed like they did not have enough coverage for the evening! The waiters were running around and waiter told us bartender running behind. We had 2 glasses of wine each and it was within 2 hrs. My poor husband Loves Rib Eye Steak and it was discusting absolutley horrible The Rib Eye didnt even taste like a steak!! I got to our hotel and got sick! It was NOT a Good experience at all!!!

Nice location and a short walk from the hotel. Staff nice an attentive but the food - awful. Prawns and artichokes draped in heavy batter are not Tempura. Too much fat on the fish. This place is in bad need of a decent Chef as its location and seating is great and will attract people in, but for a restaurant bad food is just not on never mind at these prices. I agee wth the guy who went to Perko, where we had breakfast, much better value.

We went for the early bird special and we each had a delicious dinner and a bottle of wine for only $30! It is an unbeatable deal!! We are going back this weekend too!

The restaurant is older and cute. The bar is decent size with 1 TV which was great since we went in Jan during NFL playoffs. The bartender was friendly and the food was awesome! They give you a good amount of food for the price. We loved the food and plan to be back!

It appears to be a nice restaurant, looks really elegant inside and amazing view. However, our dining experience took two hrs due to the slow wait staff. This would have been ok, but the food was horrendous. The worst filet mignon and lobster I have ever had. Even the vegetables were terrible!!! I usually eat things that would make a billy goat puke, so I gave my gf a bite of each to sample (she's quite the cook), and she said that it tasted like it had all been frozen. I paid $65.00 for a frozen TV dinner!!!! On top of this, not sure if it is related, but the next day my gf suffered from nausea and vomitting... ALL DAY!! Stay away from this tourist trap!

If I could give this place -1 stars, I would. Horrible experience. The service at the Cliff House was ok. Our waiter was polite and attentive. However, the hostess and the manager seemed very preoccupied even though the restaurant was not busy. We went to Cliff House for my wife's birthday dinner. She ordered the lobster. It was horribly overcooked. For $70/plate, I would really expect this dish to be perfect. Frankly, the presentation was also lacking. I feel that I could have done a much better job myself. The baked potato looked like they had simply pulled it out of the oven, sliced it in half and threw it on a plate. The vegetables were an asparagus and zucchini mix that lacked any originality. I ordered the Clams Linguine. It was piled with so much Parmesan cheese it ruined the dish. Cheese DOES NOT go with seafood, and a small amount of parm would have been fine. But there was at least a half cup sprinkled across my dish. Finally, my wife ordered dessert to go, the chocolate lava cake. About a half hour after getting back to our hotel and when she opened it she was disgusted. It was a small piece of pastry that appeared to be prepackage, and some sauce on top. The sauce was a watery berry sauce that was grainy and lacked any sort of resemblance of something a fine dining establishment would serve. It was definitely NOT chocolate lava cake. $15 for something they threw on a plate. I took on bite and we threw it in the trash. It did not even taste good. Total, with tip, our dinner came to $185. The next night we went to Perko's for dinner and spent $30. The food was far better at Perkos (no joke) I am so mad at Cliff House for screwing up my wife's 40th Birthday dinner I could spit.
