When we say "I love the members of my own family, the people of my own religion or country or color" bias limits our affection. But with proper practice, from an ordinary level of affection we can develop an unbiased universal love, in which we don't care what other people's faith is, their nationality, or social status - so long as they are human beings, they are our brothers and sisters.

Grooveshark has shut down...  I had no idea they were running their business unscrupulously and I am saddened that it has been this way and that a service I enjoyed is now dead...  :(

I just saw an ad all about how the term "Social Justice" is all about economic redistribution of wealth.  And how people who believe in Social Justice are all in favor of having the government coerce the conservative front into taking part in redistributing the wealth.  The ad mentions that all liberals that are asked what "Social Justice" is will have a different definition.  This is because everyone lives different lives and has different perceptions.  Economic disparity, Sexism, Racism, Classism, Social Security, the Homeless, the Occupy movements, and every other "Social Justice" issue out there are all important, but most people really only focus on one or a couple of these issues.  That does not take away from the needs of all of the groups that SJW (Social Justice Warriors) fight for.  As soon as the conservatives in politics come up with a plan to be able to help ALL people, liberals will stop ... What is it that conservatives want, here?  Just to not hear the term Social Justice ever again?  When there is social justice, we will no longer fight for it.  And a Free Society shouldn't mean free to let people starve and freeze to death without trying to help them.  Just sayin...

This is the guy talking in the ad.  I disagree with not only his message, but "why" he decided to release this message.

We should probably work on this as a society to make this not an "always" ... right?
It’s easy to blame victims when we always imagine that we’d be the ass-blasting hero if put in the same situation.

This year people searched for everything under the sun and beyond,  from distant comets to tiny burritos. And they asked Google important questions like, “where do we come from?” and “should I get married?”

That’s why today we’re launching our annual #YearinSearch , a look back at the searches, questions and moments that defined 2014.

Watch the film, explore the site and relive the year along the way. www.google.com/2014
