Rocksugar is my favorite restaurant. I took my boyfriend there for his birthday and it was the best meal I've ever had. I love the atmosphere and Asian inspired design of everything. The ingredients were prime and delicious. I highly recommend the Malaysian salmon! On top of the meal itself, we had excellent service from Derrick. The prices were very reasonable for the quality of the food. Plus they validate parking!

RockSugar may not be the best Pan Asian restaurant around town but it certainly wins you over with the atmosphere and amount of food they throw at you. They have quite the variety from Indonesian to Vietnamese and Chinese. For $39, you'll get a dineLA-type fixed menu of five different items. It's quite the filling treat and some delicious items included the Indian stuffed naan and the custard cake. Parking is in the Westfield Mall.

Overall: 3.5 stars but bumped it up due to excellent service & decor. =) Grilled tiger Shrimps 4 stars Good sized & Yummy but on the Salty side. Singapore mussels - 3 stars - On the spicier side but sauce was too liquidy & needed more Coconut milk. Crab w/ cellophane noodles - 3.5 stars Spicy but too Salty needs more crab meat ; too much noodles vs Crab meat . Decor : A+ Reminds me of Tao in Vegas - very beautiful Thai decor very warm & Cozy . Outdoor seating has nice fireS wl nice sky View . Great place for dates. Service : A Fast & prompt Loved the hot towel touch. Food : B Americanized Thai Food & portions are On the Small Side especially for the price. Tip: They validate your parking for 3 hours. =)

The food options are decent and their happy hour drinks are amazing! However, my first drink came without any alcohol in it and I could just taste the sweet blood orange which I didn't mind, the second one was spiked with alcohol and made the drink very enjoyable :) I like their complimentary snack they serve as soon as you sit down !!

I had the presence of mind to come here during dineLA'S Restaurant Week to take advantage of the great deals on their menu. Right off the bat, before you even walk through those regal doors, you get the distinct impression that this is no ordinary restaurant. A sense of opulence and tranquility abound as you make your way through peaceful rainforest sounds and music to the Host counter where you are greeted by a very friendly host/hostess. You can either sit at the bar or at one of the gorgeous tables in the exquisitely decorated dining area. You really get the feeling that you're in a fancy, expensive restaurant in Asia. For my visit, I was treated to some delicious rice crisps with tomato dipping sauce before I had even ordered. I could have eaten those things all day long. For my meal, I went with a few of the most popular dishes which included the Crispy Chicken Samosas, Princess Chicken, and for dessert, the Caramelized Banana Custard Cake. The samosas were not as crispy as expected, but more chewy and juicy, yet no less delicious and savory. The herbaceous yogurt dipping sauce they come with has strong notes of cilantro in it which compliments the samosas wonderfully. The Princess Chicken is quite aptly named: It comes served in a gorgeous presentation, piping hot, with a side of either Jasmine rice or brown rice. These are the royal sisters of all chicken nuggets. Crispy, golden, perfectly cooked, and mouthwateringly bathed in a palm sugar reduction sauce; this is truly a dish worthy of praise, and worth the trip here, alone. It is a huge serving, though, so this, as with most of their dishes, is best when shared. And, of course, dessert: The Caramelized Banana Custard Cake is simple elegance in dessert form. The cake itself has a thin layer of hardened sugar on top which you have to crack to get to the bottom, and it's served with a small scoop of ice cream and candied nuts on the side. It's the perfect way to end such a beautifully presented and delicious meal. Overall, this is one experience truly worth having. I would highly suggest this restaurant for those of you trying to impress out-of-towners or soon-to-be significant others. It should be noted, however, that in order to get here, most of you will have to pay for parking in the Century City Westfield mall parking structure, which may take some extra maneuvering and a few extra bucks, so plan accordingly

I had my birthday here once and we had a private room. It happened to take place during dineLA so everyone got a three course meal for a reasonable price. If you like Asian Cuisine, you'll really enjoy this place.
