Friends, Barrier Island Ecotours is hands down worth a trip to Charleston to experience. The sights of the salt marsh and all it has to offer is worth every penny. Where else can you experience up close and personally all the marine and terrestrial wildlife the estuaries and capers island has to offer? From dolphins, crabs, deer, allligators, abundant fish, you will have a blast being entertained by the outdoors. Every trip is a surprise because you don't know what you will encounter. If you want peace and relaxation at the same time of excitement these are the trips for you and your family and friends of any ages. Ask the naturalists and they will tell you the hot spots of where to go and what trips are best suited for your group. Lee and Max

Morgan, I just wanted to write a quick thank you to you and your company for the amazing time we had yesterday. My husband and I went Creek fishing in the a.m. with Griffin and then our whole family chartered the pontoon boat with Robert for a cruise/crabbing and Capers Island at night. When i say we had an amazing time, I mean literally we all had such a good time we can't stop talking about it! Our guides were not only knowledgeable and fun, but catered to us (Griffin specifically took us to get crabs for Shark hunting and Robert even carried my 5 year old through the creek cause he was afraid to step on something) and kept us totally entertained. Its not often you find a compnay you are completely satisfied with, but you all went above and beyond, an all 14 of our family members had a blast. And trust me, we're a hard bunch to please :) I will recommend you to anyone and everyone I know and can't wait to come back and spend more time with your group in the future. Even my son said "When I get big I want to do what he (Robert) does, Mom Can I come live here?" Thank you for truly making this vacation special for our group, from the 5 year old to the 76 year old we are smiling, laughing and already enjoying the memories we made thanks to you. May all the joy you gave us today come back to you tenfold. All our best, Katie Reiners & Family

My wife and I took the half-day tour to Capers Island. Robert was our guide, and he did a fantastic job explaining the low country eco system in detail. As a lifelong resident, he really knows it and loves it; and being a teacher for many years, he is a natural with the guests and especially kids. Dolphins were abundant on this tour, and we saw several different behaviors: a mother dolphin guiding her calf, several dolphins hunting in a group, and a lone dolphin chasing fish into a shallow shore. Capers Island is beautiful and offers great shelling. This trip was worth the price, and special thanks again to Robert.

My husband and I decided to take the Capers Island Wildlife tour while on a recent visit to Charleston. I would highly recommend it. Captain Rob was wonderful and informative. We saw tons of dolphins and he made sure to stop and point out details. My only complaint is that it was still a little chilly in March on the island, so there was too much downtime. However, if you're going when it's warmer you could swim, picnic, or explore a little more.

As Charleston locals, my family has the incredible opportunity to go on a nature tour with Barrier Island Ecotours at least once a summer and often times, more! With their many options like crabbing trips, dolphin excursions, sunset cruises, etc., we always have a great time and it's never the same trip twice. The captains handle the boats with precision, and the naturalists have an incredible amount of knowledge and keep everyone entertained and laughing. And then there's the fishing charters! Our daughter LOVES fishing with Mr. Shane, and every time we've been out, she's caught enough fish to make her ask almost every day when we can go again. I highly recommend Barrier Island Ecotours for visitors and locals alike...

Leaves you smiling! I am such a great fan of Barrier Island Eco Tours I had to put them in my novels! Truly, I can't say enough about the breathtaking tours I've enjoyed with Shane and all the great guides. The landscape is gorgeous, but more importantly, the naturalists educate the public on what they are observing so that the journey has depth and impact. Whether you walk Capers island, go fishing or crabbing, or simply sit back and observe dolphins on your sunset tour, children of all ages will leave smiling! Mary Alice Monroe

Last year on our first visit to Isle of Palm, we needed a break from the beach for a day. We decided to go on a Barrier Island Eco Tour. My kids are teenagers and they were not thrilled with the idea. However, they thoroughly enjoyed it! They even learned some things about nature without even realizing it! We are going back to the same beach house this year on the island and will definitely take another Barrier Island Eco Tour. And, yes, the teenagers are looking forward to it!
