Not been on here for a while with one thing and another. Mainly my kids though, and work.

I've had the X-T1 for a couple of weeks now and gradually getting used to it. Much better now I've separated the shutter and focus...

This shot is from on a gig last week I was shooting for a friend. He's an acid jazz, soul, funk, boss artist who is huge in Asia but pretty much unknown in the UK. This is the percussion artist in the band and she was really going for it. The live set was epic and in a small venue it created a really fun night out. Even had to have a beer myself it was that warm.

Gradually easing myself in to the mirrorless world. Started off with a +FUJIFILM UK X100s and now really need to get out and try this properly. Stuff around the house just won't cut it.

It was a typical cloudy morning in Glasgow yesterday so I wasn't expecting to get anything of the eclipse, but as they say about the weather in Scotland, wait 5 mins, it'll probably change. Well it did and the clouds softened it enough that I could shoot this from my front door.

Another clear sky in Aviemore this weekend and managed to get out and make this shot of a very subtle Milky Way.

Will have to find more time to keep learning about shooting this kind of image.

Engagement Photographer Hides in Small Trashcan to Get the Perfect Candid Shot

When he was hired to photograph a surprise engagement in the park, photographer Chance Faulkner made extra sure he wouldn't be spotted... by hiding in a small trashcan.

Most people would think twice about about walking down some of the stuff Danny rides down.

He is arguably one of the best ambassadors for Scotland and keeps sharing different aspects with the rest of the world. Props to him for doing so.

Holy Shit!!  What this guy can do on a mountain bike is unbelievable.

Oh,  and the scenery of Skye and the Cuillins is amazing and a great reminder of how fantastic the home country is!!

Pretty sure I'm going to be scrabbling around for the next few months/ years while this guy takes over my life! My wife had always joked about it being a Referendum baby and she was correct. 8.09am on the 18th Sept. Hopefully he will be a bit calmer than his sister....

Wth all the political chat going on over on FB & Twitter about the Scottish Independence referendum I thought I'd share this image I saw recently.

Who knows what a 'boaby' is? If your Scottish you're not allowed to play.

It's always a risk buying filters from ebay. Will they be real, or if getting something cheap, will they be total junk too? Risked it recently and got a variable ND for my fuji and a ND & Grad ND kit for my Canon's.

The kit is a copy of the 85mm P type holders and the filters are fine until you stack them! At £15 I'm not going to worry as they were the first foray in to filters.

The variable ND for my fuji on the other hand is great so long as you don't go to the max on it. Combined with the built in ND on the X100S and you can get a 30 second exposure during the day and is pretty neutral colours too. Not bad for £8

Another stunning B&W from +John G Moore of one of my favourite parts of the world. He keeps tormenting me with images of the Eastern Sierra's in California where I should have been this weekend for my friends wedding at Convict Lake. Except my wife's best friend was getting married on the same day in Glasgow. Ah well just have to find another reason to go back soon.

Cheers John. Love seeing this pop up on my feed.
