Bad habits.
I tend to see a quilt or project I like and usually that means I have to make it right away, which means what I'm working on gets put aside. I feel like this is a really bad habit for me. Now I have several quilt tops that are finished as tops but need batt...

Cross Here mini quilt.
I kind of can't believe I finished this quilt in just two days. It's actually a mini quilt, 18" square, but with an almost-8-month old finishing any size of anything is no small feat. Ha. This came about when I was trying to copy a quilt block I had seen in...

Pocket Pals/Dolls!! So so cute!!!!
I have spent the last two days working on this pattern for these little pocket dolls. Drawing, scanning, printing and testing. The pattern writing was difficult because the program I usually use stopped working for some reason, which was really frustrating,...

Four Little Easter Baskets
I decided to make the kids' Easter baskets this year. I made them with fat quarters. They are quilted, of course. No pattern, I was just winging it, these are pretty simple to make. It did seem to take forever to finish these. Maybe because I did them all a...

What I've been working on.
The last week I haven't managed to get much done as far as sewing and quilting goes but I did finish a couple things. First, I made a few more pocket pals (pattern on Craftsy or Bonanza ). Then I spent a few days updating a pattern I had written in 2011. Th...

I think this is my favorite one so far! I just think these are so stinking cute!!! My daughter really loves hers.
The pocket pal/doll measures just 5" tall and comes with her very own pocket with a strap to carry her in!! When in the pocket, your child's pocket pal peeks out just a little to see what's going on around them. These are great for children's imaginative play, your child will have lots of fun carrying around her pocket pal and taking care of it. Strap is about 35" long and is meant to be crossed over the torso, however it can be worn like a purse...

My 7 year old has been asking me if she can sew for a while now. I decided we would go ahead and do it, I would teach her how to sew. For the most part it wasn't that bad and she did really well (I'm so proud).  She sai...
