For me, the takeaway from this week wasn't about memes, but about the limits and possibilities of this type of learning space and about how I interact with others in such spaces.

In other spaces with other configurations, I would have wanted to interrogate the assumptions and messages in the teaching memes. BUT, I don't know you, your story, nor how to demonstrate that I care, that your voice matters,  so I was silent.

I was also uncomfortable with the celebration of the 'viral.' Can we question tenets of Internet culture while trying to mimic that culture in a learning space?

I had more questions than answers. Why don't we question the worth of viral? How do we make space to interrogate the assumptions about teaching in some of the memes? Without relationships is that possible?
