Having just moved to the area from Illinois, we were looking for a new day spa, and came across this location via a Google search. On Saturday (which was Valentine's Day), I arranged for my wife to spend the morning at the Spa, having her hair cut and styled. I then joined her for a couples massage. While making the appointment, the staff were very courteous and accommodating. And that is about all I can say that is positive. Apparently, my wife's hair was colored and styled, but at no point was she asked what color or details she wanted. They just set to work, and she did not question it because she thought I had given them the relevant information. To be clear, the cut is competent, but at no point was she engaged as to what she wanted. During our massage, we were shown into a room about the size of a cubicle. Into this tight space went two plus sized people and two masseuses. There was no where to place clothes, and the tables were more narrow than those at other, better locations. Over the next hour, their was a great deal of bumping, scraping and general tightness of space, which greatly curtailed the experience. Moreover, the staff was doing laundry immediately outside of the vinyl slide that served as the door. My masseuse did a good job, using strength to get down into the muscles, but my wife's experience amounted to an oily hand rub, without any real massaging going on. When we were done, we were given a Styrofoam glass of what appeared to be tap water. For all of this, we paid a small fortune; far more than what we have paid at better, more upscale locations. Lesson learned; we will continue to look for alternate locations.

I had scheduled my wedding party at this Salon this past Saturday, to say I was disappointed in the finished product would be an understatement. Though my dis-satisfaction started earlier in the week. I went in for Highlights and Lowlights, I showed a picture of what I wanted and came out nothing like that as well as didn't bother to touchup my current highlights where it was growing out. Fast forward to a couple days later I had to have a trial run on my hair and makeup, hair was not what I was expecting and makeup well that was a complete disaster. I was hoping that I would look really good coming out of the Salon with professional makeup done, but was the exact opposite and looked like I was punched in this face, as well as when I said I wanted a smoky eye the girl drew like batwings in the corner with no shadow on the eyelid it looked absolutely horrendous. I was petrified and went home and had to completely redo my makeup. She mentioned not to worry that come my wedding day it would be better. Oh and of course no discount was offered and still charged full price for something that looked like a kid drew on my face. Obviously I was concerned now going in on my wedding day but couldn't do much about it because it would have been to late for a wedding party of 10 to go somewhere else. My concerns quickly became reality, my cheeks were bright red, as well as the eye shadow on my lids were red yes red doesn't exactly say dark smoky eye. My mother you couldn't even tell she had makeup on, and all of the girls except for one had problems with the makeup. Luckily we had 3 hours before the start of the wedding, and my friend brought her makeup we went to the venue and she completely redone everyones' makeup. She then went and bought a straightening iron to help fix some of the girls hair. Oh I also forgot to mention I had received a spray tan and couldn't even tell. After all of this no discounts, apologies, or anything was given. The makeup girl knew we were not happy. I ended up pouring over 400 in this place in a weeks time for hair, make up, tan, wax, color and cut and brought 9 others in with me. Only for everyone to walk out completely disgusted and I felt ashamed for choosing this place.

THIS PLACE WAS ONE OF THE WORST SPA PLACES I HAVE EVER BEEN! THEY WERE LATE AND NOT INFORMATIVE. THE PLACE IS VERY SMALL SO IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A PLACE TO RELAX AND BE CALM, DO NOT GO THERE BECAUSE YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO TO THAT! I HAVE NEVER HAD SUCH A BAD EXPERIENCE IN A SPA BEFORE, OR LEFT WITHOUT A SMILE ON MY FACE! I RECOMMEND THE FACE AND BODY SPA FOR TREATMENTS. IT IS WELL WORTH IT AND YOU BE ABLE TO RELAX AND ENJOY YOURSELF!

I am writing to repute this review. I was the esthetician that provided the service to this client. Upon her arrival, 45 minutes late, I greeted her and was able to accommodate her regardless of her tardiness on a busy Saturday. I introduced myself and took her to her room. It was brought to my attention that the music in the room was not working. After speaking with management, I was able to adjudicate the situation and transfer her to a more relaxing setting Following her service, we gave her a free manicure. While she did have to wait momentarily, being that there were established reservations, we were able to oblige her in an expeditious fashion. The nail technician had to paint her nails repeatedly because she kept placing her hands in her pockets after the technician painted her nails. I felt we were more than accommodating and I was as pleasant as I could be. She had a unpleasant demeanor from the beginning of the encounter and she was given a complimentary service for her inconvenience. I felt we treated her with courtesy, respect and patience. There are some people who cannot be satisfied no matter to what extent one goes. Ninety-nine percent of our clients leave satisfied with the services performed, the one-percent with negative dispositions are the ones that degrade us on open forums with slanderous remarks. We hope that this one complaint does not sour your mood or opinion of us and we hope to see you for all your future salon and spa needs.

I have gone here many times. I usually get 3 colors in my hair (all foils) and am always happy when I leave. Cindy always makes sure I am comfortable and everyone is very nice.

I too purchased the groupon, and had a horrible experience. Lindsey was my stylist, while she did the color of my hair just fine, she demolished my cut. All I wanted was a layered bob, and I got absolutely no layers, my bangs were only cut on one side, she cut only one of my sideburns up to the top of my ear while messing with my bangs, as far as the rest of my hair: one side was longer than the other, and I had several "tails" poking out of the back underneath part of my hair. Absolutely horrible. I had to go to another salon to have them fix this mess of a haircut the very next day....Thank goodness this girl knew what she was doing. I cannot speak for the whole salon itself, but if you do choose this salon, stay away from Lindsey if you are getting your hair cut. I really hate to leave horrible reviews, but it was necessary this time.

After my experience persuaded me to leave a review of this establishment I am shocked that they would post a comment on here blasting a past client. Kind of unprofessional. But, then again, this place doesn't seem very good. At least in the massage arena. I should have left when shown the room & told by the masseuse that the room was going to be cold. I was also asked to leave my underwear on. For a full body Swedish massage? Afterwards I knew why. The massage didn't extend more than an inch or two above my knees or my waistline. The masseuse also told me before she began that her hands were cold. Nice. She failed to tell me that the lotion, too, was cold. The room I was in looked like it served as their storage room for an extra table, too, as one was shoved up against the wall. The room was too small to do a couples massage if that is what you were thinking. The masseuse barely had room to walk around my table in the room. Not a relaxing experience at all. I don't know about their other services but if you ate looking for a massage, keep looking.

I purchased a groupon for Port Salon and Spa. I was a bit worried considering the reviews I saw, but I enjoyed my experience. I went for a deep pore facial and would return. It was a good, soothing experience and my skin is definitely better. It doesn't 'look' like the best spa I've ever been too - but my girl did a good job.
