Yay, an e-book reissue of one of my favorite Judith Tarr books! And one of the ones where I don't have a copy!

It's my birthday. It's supposed to snow. I am peeved. Birthdays are not for snow!

Yep, now Senator Ron Johnson's office is on the "arrest people for waiting to speak with their representative" bandwagon. He joins Representative Paul Ryan.

Kahrs is the company who produced the engineered floors we're thinking of. I have no idea why their DNS is b0rked, But they have a neat thingie where you can shuffle different flooring into sample rooms. The lighting is a bit less ridiculous than a lot of virtual showrooms, since almost all the sample rooms have very Modern/Bauhaus sorts of GIANT WINDOWS.

It's also a kind of amazing education in thinking about how much lighting is appropriate.

So... The City of Madison is talking bike parking. Again. But... in this proposal they list a few specific businesses where they're thinking of putting parking. And while I don't use most of 'em, some of the rest of you guys might.

So in all the other moving stuff, I've discovered we don't have coasters.

I am now having a powerful urge to clean up the dining room table so I can warp the loom and weave ALL THE COASTERS. And maybe a runner or two for the coffee table, so the Teckla towels can stop serving as emergency runners. Probably the actually clever thing to do is iron the last hunk of yard goods I wove and see if it works as a runner in terms of width. If yes, well... it's pretty and I've already woven it. Even if it's too narrow, chances are good that it is plenty long enough that I can cut it, hem it, and do a mattress stitch seam between the two lengths.
