Love the vibe. The backyard is really cool when it's warm. And their best asset: they often have awesome blue grass bands playing while you sip your beer.

Love this place. Great backyard. Dog-friendly. I am currently about to buy a pet dog, and can't wait to bring it here. Great way to meet new people and see cute pups!

Wow to the blonde "Em, gratuity isn't included" bar woman here this evening. Yes I know I'm European but but I was going to give you $5 tip at the end. Relax! Cool bar otherwise...

There is a lot to love about 'Lucky Dog'. There is a large menu of beers (including the world famous Genesee Cream Ale, a jug of which a friendly New Yorker named Michael bought my brother and I a jug of). In trying to come up with a fitting adjective to describe Lucky Dog's excellent vibe i could only manage 'cool'..but i think that is a fitting word. Lucky Dog lived up to its name as, on my Friday evening visit, there were a lot of dogs in there. I imagine they were lucky to be there because many bars probably wouldn't allow dogs (i'm not sure as i didn't have a dog with me in NYC..just a brother from the same mother). The aforementioned Friday night in Lucky Dog was packed. A caveat.. they ask everyone to display ID before entering on Fridays, even if you are 58 (i'm not, but i still look a great deal older than 21). The outdoor area was adorned with fairy lights which surely only the most cold-hearted don't enjoy.

When you walk in a dive bar and see a sign behind the bar that says God Bless Johnny Cash, you know you're in the right place. Their old school jukebox plays a mixture of both rock and country music. There is also a nice outdoor deck in the back too. Bartenders are friendly and there's always a nice chill crowd just like their sister bar, Levee. Great place to meet new friends.

This place is always fun! I like to come in the afternoon and pretend I have a dog. Pretty cheap beer too!

Good beer selection. Stay away from the pitchers - bartenders give a solid amoint of foam and waste a full beer
