Happy Christmas, everyone.
Working at the Santa set this year to make a little extra money for the holidays, I got to see a lot of families come through. Some of them seemed like horrible, spiteful people, and others seemed like the nicest, most caring people in the world. I saw some of the most well-behaved children, some that were contrary and uncooperative, and some that were just absolutely terrified of Santa Claus - and we had one of the better ones in the greater Orlando area - and some of the families had all three.
That said, I genuinely wished every family that visited - whether they were just saying hello or getting photos taken - a Merry Christmas, and I wish all of you a Merry Christmas and a safe and prosperous New Year. I hope that spending time with family and/or friends is pleasant (Jaelynn and I are stuck at home, away from family, this year - though we are likely to go down to CityWalk to get dinner and see the new Sherlock Holmes movie), and that despite all of the commercialization of the holiday season, we don't lose sight of the fact that this is a season of love, peace, and brotherhood.
I love you all - including those I haven't spoken to in months, whatever the reasons - and I wish you the best in the coming year.
