IT IS TRUE THAT THIS IS UNFORGETTABLE GATEWAY EXPERIENCE :( Negatively It's a very bad experience. Everywhere when you have an issue and reach the manager(Stephanie) your issue will be solved. I had hot tub in my cabin that does not work I spend to nights no one come here to fix it. I tried to cancel the reservation to check out early but they refuse to refund my money back. ** Don't rent a cabin until you see it by yourself since some are very bad. And this office is just an agent renting it from its owners. ** Also the view was very bad. The cabin is surrounded by big trees nothing else to see. DO NOT RENT BEFORE YOU SEE YOUR CABIN. IT IS A WASTE OF MONEY :(

Beware! Unforgiving, dirty dealing people and owners! Awful, nightmarish experience! Booked 5 nights at Lazy Dazy cabin, and my family of 5 were very excited about the trip. Then my father-in-law fell 15 feet from a ladder. Understanding what their "policy" said about family emergencies but foolishly hoping to appeal to the compassion of a human being, I called to cancel the reservation and a seemingly nice person told me I would only forfeit my deposit if the rooms were rebooked. Today, I was told because the rooms were not rebooked 50% of the nights, I would lose the ENTIRE $1714.93 I paid them. It DOES NOT EVEN GO INTO ESCROW for a future trip. What's more, the owners of the cabin blocked several nights from being rebooked for "personal reasons." Do you get what happened? They took advantage of our family tragedy and ripped us off for $1714.93! I'm glad we didn't go because the family was called in for my father in law on one of the days we would have been on this trip and the hospital is 13 hours away. He is still fighting for his life as I write this. I just wanted to let everyone out there know that this is the type of service you will get if you are unfortunate enough to have a true family emergency.

We stayed in Black Bear Lodge... Check in is SUPPOSED to be at 4 pm. We finally got in at 6:45 pm. They can check you in whenever they feel like it, but charge $125+ PER HOUR if you check out late... Cabin was not clean. They did NOT change comforters. Just sheets! The hot tub wasn't working, they were supposed to be here with in 4 hours. Never showed. Next morning there was no hot water. Called and someone came about an hour later. Fixed, and they said the breaker was off. Well same issue next day- can't even get ONE shower and the water is cold. Keep in mind this is a 6 bedroom home with sleeping for 23. There is damage everywhere, the kitchen cabinets are busted off, the pool cues have no tips so we can't even utilize that! The railing upstairs is wobbly. The fireplaces in the rooms do NOT work, most of the bedroom doors don't even latch.. The grounds around the home and the road leading up to this place are disgusting! Beer bottles and cans everywhere. Broken glass line the road and hills. The garbages outside the cabin were stuffed full. It was just ridiculous! When you pay good money for a cabin, it should definitely be kept up better! Very disappointed. Will not be staying with this company again. If I was the owner of this home and knew how it was being "managed" I would flip my lid!! Hope this is not how all their properties are taken care of. *although we met the neighbor who no longer rents their home due to poor management. (They showed up to their cabin, only to need to clean garbage and broken dishes off their property) So I think its just the company as a whole**

We rented a cabin at the last minute due to the amazing discount. We hadn't done resorts because we like a little more quiet & privacy. The cabin was wonderful, it had everything that was advertised. The resort people were very friendly. The only problem we had was our neighbor in the cabin beside us. Just as we feared, they checked in & partied all night. We called & security did come & the people did quiet down for a while, but they resumed about 1am. It did leave a bad taste with us, but it wasn't the resort's fault. People are just obnoxious. We are going to stay with them again for the 4th of July, but we are trying an offsite cabin.

I was very worried about booking a cabin from Cabins of the Smokies because of the terrible reviews I read over and over! But we were traveling with our fur babies and they are large breeds and that makes finding lodging hard. We were pleasantly surprised w Tranquility Den! PROS: 1.we used the online check-in and it was smooth! We didn't get to our cabin till 10pm due to traffic on the way but they emailed the key code and directions to us walked right in and vacation started! 2. Cabin was great for our family! Master was downstairs w a jacuzzi tub living kitchen and another bedroom upstairs 3. Hot tub worked and had fire pit for s'mores w the family after a busy day 4. Board games were provided 5. Beautiful view 6. General location was great close to Dollywood, Dixie stampede, old mill restaurant and the Island etc 7. TVs in every room 8. An arcade game that worked CONS: 1. In order to use the online check in you need to stay in touch with them OFTEN to make sure they have EVERTHING they need 2. Bring your own towels washrags and linens! For a cabin to sleep 9 it only had 4 towels and wash rags. The sheets were worn and blankets could use some TLC. And no dish towels or pot holders! 3. No storage at all for clothes food etc 4. The kitchen is extremely small almost non existent, if you are going planning to cook be prepared. 5. We had no use of the lights in the downstairs bathroom after the 3rd day. A breaker kept "flipping". We called and put in a report but finally cancelled it after 3 try's and just lived with out them. The maintanance crew seems to need improvement. 6. The road leading to the cabin was a little scary a one lane road straight up a mountain. And the drive way was hard to park on with more than one car. 7. The hot tub did appear as if it could use some chemicals. Overall our experience was pleasant! Tranquility Den was a nice little cabin that we would recommend just be prepared for the few LITTLE problems we ran into.

BOOK ELSEWHERE - BROKEN REFRIDGERATOR, NO A/C IN SEVERAL UNITS,HOTTUB NOT WORKING-the WORST vacation/honeymoon ever. 3 cabins in less than 24 hours. Heather Vandermark was the LEAST compassionate about the inconvenience and stress this place caused us. Needless to say I was supposed to be married this morning but couldn't because they told us we had to switch to our 3rd cabin. I booked the honey bear lodge and upon arrival it was 92° in there. We purchased 265$ in food and the refridgerator was broken so the meat sat nearly 5 hours raw n a warm fridge. 2 toilets didnt work and the hot tub was broken with filters and parts sitting out..After speaking to several people and 4 hours of waiting for maintenence to arrive a manager told us we could move cabins. Finally 230 am we arrive 28minutes away from the one I originally booked to find that we only had until another cabin is ready. Couldn't get married and they are threatening to call the police if we don't move cabins. They never even called to tell me it was ready after they said they would. I called 2 times to check. The third is when Heather Vandermark handled my concerns with telling me "it's not their fault that I'm not having a good time" GOOD TIME? really? A 2 nite stay and they said I can either drive another 41 minutes away to an available cabin or take 270$ refund and leave. I brought 8 family members from Chicago to be here with us while we wed. I however will not be able to now. We will be driving 41 mins so I can sleep since I've cried my eyes out pleading with them since I arrived. She then got irritated with me asking if I didn't under the directions when I wanted to know what could be done to compensate for the time gas and mess up on their end. I told her I didn't do anything wrong I booked a cabin for 2 nites that was unlivable. She then told me she was hanging up on me. I asked for her manager to which she said was too busy to help me n then ultimately hung up on me. Worst service. PLEASE BOOK ELSEWHERE. I DON'T USUALLY WRITE NEGATIVE REVIEWS BUT THERE WERE SO MANY OPPORTUNITIES TO MAKE THIS RT AND IT WASNT. also housekeeping told us they just left 3 cabins with angry guests that had no air-conditioning and been getting the run around. There's more but I hope this helps.

I have read SO MANY negative reviews concerning Gatlinburg Falls Resorts. I was nervous and prayed about the decision I had made to book with this company. But despite all of the negative reviews, we just got back on yesterday and WE had the BEST experience EVER!! From the time of check in until check out!!!! We had to wait to check in because the cabin was not ready, however we were given a late check out time due to the fact the cabin wasn't ready at check in. Each and every time I spoke with someone. Customer service was SUPERB!!!! The cabin was AWESOME!!!!! We will be going back for Thanksgiving!!!! Thanks Cabins of the Smoky Mountains for a GREAT experience!!!!
