Purrs for Minnie on a Trying Tuesday
I apologize for not posting much recently.  My heart is not in it.  This has been an extremely  trying year for us - losing my brother in law in Jan to cancer, almost losing Georgie to fatty liver disease, losing Lily in April to cancer and then last month ...

Mr Kitty here today.  We have been having a heat wave since June - most places in the 90s but we have been in the upper 80s instead cuz we are in the mountains.  Still hot.  I like it hot since I come from Massachusetts so I beg to go out on the porch and j...

Ivy as Caturday Art
For this week Caturday Art Ivy is our model.  I processed this photo as a watercolor.  Ivy seems to get smaller and smaller as she ages.  She is 17 this year and with CRF and being FIV+, I think that is pretty incredible.  Her fur is getting more white and ...

Mr. Kitty on Mancat Monday and a Georgie Update
Me and Georgie enjoying the sun. Mr. Kitty here - I seem to be sharing my Mondays with Georgie - I don't mind.  She is a sweet ladycat.   Auntie Cheri has been very busy caring for her.  The ER vet has upped her insulin hoping that she will put on weight.  ...

Flowers from the Yard
Our yard is full of day lilies, bee balm, and wildflowers.  I am always grateful for the previous owners' green thumbs!  Without theirs the yard would be pretty bare.  Our yearly visitor of a young male turkey is back and comes by to raid the bird feeder....

Happy Birthday America!
Mr Kitty  Wishing y'all a fun, safe and happy 4th of July!  We are going to stay indoors away from the fireworks and noise but the beans may wander off to see one of the local displays!  At least where we live, we don't hear the noise from the celebrations!...

Introduction
I write about the rescued ferals that live with me in their forever home, life in the Appalachian Mountains and natural remedies for pet health concerns.

A city girl tuned hippie country woman with lots of cats!
Always a great healing experience to come to Bonnie for acupuncture. I had some digestive issues that quieted during the session. Bonnie told me what supplements to take to help me and I felt better than I had in days on the way home. I have had success with her treating asthma, bronchitis and pain issues as well. I live in Asheville and drive to see her - she far surpasses anyone I have seen in my home area!

Kim does a fabulous job grooming cats. She did two special needs cats for us - a 19 year old cat with heavy mats and a long hair deaf cat. Both did really well with her and look cool, comfy and wonderful in their new cuts. It is less stressful for the cats to have a groomer come to us. Paws up for Calling All Cats!
