Canal Du Midi in Beziers. Pictures taken yesterday. This part of the canal du midi has been drained so that regular maintaince can be done. For example, repairs of the lock doors (see photo). The Beziers aquaduct and the nine locks are all without water for now. The port in Beziers, however, still is full of water.

Pictures of Canal Du Midi bicycle path close to Lauragais. Pictures taken yesterday. This is the exact point where the path changes from asphalt to sand. It has gotten much colder this week as well, with night time temps as low as 0 degrees celcius (32 F).

Some pictures taken by our clients in October 2015. Attached also their email:
"And finally and most important and which contributed most to a wonderful experience we had biking along the Canal du Midi we would like to thank you and Timo for all your help and advice.
The bikes were comfortable and gave no problems. The panniers were big enough and seemed waterproof and robust.
And the help and advice you so freely provided made it easy for us.
The night before we had tried to work out a route, and where to stay, without much success.
With your advice and a few phone calls the route and accommodation just fell into place
Great to have met you.
Pat, June and Sandra"

Pictures of Canal Du Midi taken September 24 2015. This shows the last lock on the Canal Du Midi, the Bagnas Lock dating from 1675. The hills of Agde and Sete are easily visible from here, as are the black mountains to the north.

Pictures taken September 26 2015. There is a nice walking trail starting and ending at Ecluse de Pechlaurier. One can easily see the Pyrenees Mountains from the top of this hill. The lookout point is in fact very close the the lock, and only requires about 5 minutes to reach by foot. The entire walk will take about 1 hour. One can also see Argens Minervois in the near distance.
