On December 15, Hudson High School students went on a field trip to attend the Student Day of Poetry at UMASS Boston. Students engaged in writing-generative workshops with top poets and educators, enjoyed poetry readings, performances, and participated in a student open mic. The 2016 Statewide Student Day of Poetry reached over 1,000 middle and high school students from more than 30 schools throughout the state. Thank you to the Mass Cultural Council for supporting this trip with a grant to fund transportation through the Big Yellow School Bus Program.

"To travel is to take a journey into yourself." Danny Kaye

It's the season of giving! If after the holidays you do a little "out with the old and in with the new", please donate your children's books to our school libraries and swaps. Books are the gift that keep on giving. Here are some photos from our book swap station at Farley Elementary. Each school could use some good condition donated books. #seasonofgiving #recycle #books
