I mentioned son having some issues a couple weeks back...
There is a link that has updates as to whats going on.
Long story short - he has a thing called "vascular rings with right aorta arch" which in a nutshell means the first major artery off his heart grew around his esophagus and is making it hard for him to eat and breathe. He is happy and appears healthy, but the Dr's warned that the older he gets the worst his symptoms are, so he will be getting surgery on the 23rd of this month.
Those of you that have had your kids in major surgery... what did you do to help time pass during the surgery? Were you able to be the strong rock for your spouse to lean on?
I'm incredibly stressed out. This kid is my buddy, and risks sound low, but i dont feel I'm being crazy when i see this as a pretty big thing.
