Venue was clean and the food looked amazing. Went to see a local band, who'd been placed in the 'top billed' spot Mister Master (loud and Hendrix meets 311). A group of about 6 of us. When came time to order the food, had to find a bartender to place, as the wait staff was VERY slow! We ordered 3 items at first; 1) The "Don" Longshore sub- fresh homemade baggette, and plenty of good meats and cheeses 2) The Angus Burger- Huge 1/2 pound burger, good toppings and subbed garlic fries (they use crinkle cut, which is a bad choice personally), but a good portion size. And here's where it went wrong. 3) Grilled Chicken Stromboli- When it showed up it was huge (but it was a calzone). "We ordered this as a Stromboli, isn't it supposed to be long, like a burrito?", Waitress "Oh, let me see what happened",.. a minute later, Waitress "Yes, that is what this is and it is right". How is a half-moon shaped item with way more dough a Stromboli? Well, it wasn't! I tracked down someone, who happened to the be owner Louie G, himself. Explained what had happened to one of our order. Came over to apologizes, to the one who's order got messed up. Offered to take 10% off of the bill for the trouble, so that was appreciated. Second part of our group placed their order and a Stromboli showed up looking like a Stromboli... Apparently the cooks realized their mistake and tried to stretch out the calzone when partially cooked to make it look similar (there's a lot more dough in a calzone), so doesn't hide the mistake well. Overall though, the food was very good, the portions were huge and the place has a cool vibe!!! A couple suggestions I'd have though. If you're gonna serve drinks from the bar in plastic cups, have them be 16oz Solo cups. The ones they use look like they came from a Motel 6 and are kinda flimsy. If they are gonna have rock shows, even though it is a Family Restaurant, make kids under 21 leave after 9pm. Maybe put in a wall separating the "venue" portion from the main restaurant? Also make one large ladies and men's restrooms, not just 2 of each with only 1 toilet in them on either side of the place... People drink at concerts!!!

Had the most pleasurable time at Louie g's I didn't want to leave !!! Still here ? Amazing !! And the only place to see local music brought to at the highest professional level out of any venue in the Puget sound area. The owner, Louie G puts in hundred hours a week because he cares. This place is fun from every angle ,,,see you there !!!

They won't honor their menu that's online with what it says compared to what they have in the store. And because I'm only ordering one item they will take longer on purpose to get it to me even though I'm just barley ten minutes away. But they have delivered here many times for just three dollar's more within a faster time frame. Some Crap if you ask me. And here I spend money there on the shows, dreamfest, and ordering food all the Damn time. Guess not anymore. You've lost a customer and someone who always promoted your place to go to everyone I meet.

One of the reasons we are in this world is to eat good food and listen to good music. If this is your belief as well then Louie G's will absolutely floor you. The menu is extensive and authentic. This my friends is not only how a pizza is supposed to be made it is fired in a pizza oven the way it should be. Not only is the food outrageously good, Louie brings in the best of the best local music talent. Yet this is a family friendly and family encouraged restaurant, venue and family/friends gathering spot. Louie's motto is 'Welcome to my dream you are all in it" and Louie makes you feel that you are not only in the dream but you are appreciated as a friend. If you are ever in or near Fife I highly encourage you to stop in get a pizza and listen to some great music and say hello to Louie G.

I went here because of the good reviews .My family felt the Pizza was tastless .Ordered a large Lucky /Bugsy Pizza.I do not know why so many people had good pizza before we came ? It may very well be they are changed suppliers to cut costs .It's not worse then frozen pizza ,but not much better .I NEVER eat at chain pizza joints . but it could not be any worse and a lot cheaper .

The baked Sub sandwich was served on crappy doughy undercooked bread. Good venue for live music.
Response from the owner - a week ago
May I ask what sandwich you had? Longshore subs are the only doughy style bread. It's a sost part baked bread. In 8 years never had a complaint about it. So I'm wondering what sub you had.. my other subs are on a different bread.. sorry for your bad experience. We are family owned and operated .

We love this place. We can take the kids to learn/appreciate the local music scene. Concert nights usually have a great pizza/salad buffet which makes it easy. They keep making the music area better and better. Youth bands are a big reason we go too. Louie G's gives young bands a place to play and gain experience in front of audiences. Tuesday's are acoustic night and offer a more laid back environment where you can sit and enjoy the music. Then you add karaoke on Wednesday nights. There is always something going on at Louie's and he's always around to make you feel welcome. With Hell's Kitchen closing. It's comforting that we still have a GREAT music venue in the Tacoma area.
