This event, the 1st Annual Offline Multiplayer Game Festival (OMGFest!) will have a minimum $10 door fee, though you are encouraged to give more as all proceeds go to the Tucson Community Food Bank.

The core idea here is to get people together to play some amazing offline multiplayer games. Offline multiplayer games are games you play all sitting together in the same room. Crazy, right!? I’m sure you remember the days growing up sitting around a tiny TV playing split screen Golden Eye, Mario Kart or Halo with your buddies. That is exactly what this event is for. We want to show off new games, as well as some classics, that bring you back to a time when gaming meant laughing yourself sick in a room full of your best friends!

Our goal is to make this a fun, casual, and family event. That is why all of the proceeds from this event will be going towards the Tucson Community Food Bank. Playing great games with great people for a great cause.

That's hella great!

That’s not all, many of the games on display will also have a tournament with great prizes. There is no additional cost to enter these tournaments. A schedule of start times for each tournament will be posted soon.

We will also have limited space to Bring Your Own Setup. If this is something you want to do, please post in the comments below and let us know what you want to bring. We will decide if it fits in with our event or not. We understand many people have their favorite games, we just need to look at the overall picture.

Finally there will be a booth setup for Indie Developers to show off any games they are working on. Since time will be limited, please contact us if this interests you and will make a schedule.

Game List:

TowerFall: Dark World

Inspired by classics from the golden age of couch multiplayer, it's a 4-player local party game centering around hilarious, intense versus matches. The core mechanics are simple and accessible, but hard to master and combat is fierce. Loot treasure chests for game-changing power-ups, master the art of catching arrows out of the air, or descend on your foes and stomp them into submission. TowerFall is best played competitively with friends, cross-legged on the floor within punching distance of each other.

Lethal League

Lethal League is a competitive projectile fighting game where you have to hit an anti-gravity ball into the face of your opponent to win. The ball speeds up with every strike, up to explosively extreme velocities. Play intense local matches with friends and foes, challenge yourself in the singleplayer mode or battle it out online.

NBA Jam 2010

NBA Jam is a 2-on-2 basketball game that has a unique way of showing the players from the game off. In the game, the bodies take on a 3D look, while their heads take on a 2D look, which have realistic digitized likenesses. The game retains its usual exaggerated nature of play - players jump many times above their own height, making slam dunks that defy both human capabilities and the laws of physics. There are no fouls, free throws, or violations except defensive goaltending and 24 second violations. This means the player is able to freely shove or elbow his opponent out of the way. Additionally, the game has an "on fire" feature, where if one player makes three baskets in a row, he becomes "on fire" and has unlimited turbo, no goaltending, and increased shooting ability, until the other team scores (or the player has scored nine consecutive baskets while "on fire").

Bushido Blade 2

The bulk of the gameplay in Bushido Blade revolves around one-on-one third-person battles between two opponents. Unlike most fighting games, however, no time limit or health gauge is present during combat. Most hits will cause instant death, while traditional fighting games require many hits to deplete an opponent's health gauge. It is possible to wound an opponent without killing them. With the game's "Body Damage System," opponents are able to physically disable each other in increments with hits from an equipped weapon, slowing their attacking and running speed, or crippling their legs forcing them to crawl

Wind Jammers

A unique sport based on a combination of air hockey and tennis, Windjammers has two players facing off on a court (with a low net in the middle), attempting to throw a singular throwing disc past each other into a designated goal zone while preventing the other player from doing the same. Players pick characters from different nationalities, each with unique stats and special abilities.

Twinkle Star Sprites

Twinkle Star Sprites is a 1996 competitive scrolling shooter arcade game originally created by ADK. It was ADK's last production for the Neo-Geo platform. The gameplay, which can be characterized as a combination of a fixed shooter and a versus puzzle game, uses combinations of shots, as well as timed power-ups to attempt to damage the opponent. These attacks also serve as counters to the opponent's attack.

Bomberman Ultra

Bomberman is a game where several players compete in a last-man-standing battle in a maze. Up to 4 players simultaneously run around on a single screen maze trying to blast their opponents while dodging bombs to stay alive.

High Score Challenge

We will pick a classic arcade game that will be running all day. The top score at the end of the day will be the high score champion.
