Should you consider a guest unit on your property?

Today I’m joined by prominent San Luis Obispo architect Greg Wynn to discuss new regulations regarding accessory dwelling units (ADUs) in San Luis Obispo County. In the past, our secondary dwelling unit ordinance allowed individual legal conforming lots to have a 450-square foot unit to be added to the back of the parcel. For many people, this ordinance was cost-prohibitive and size-prohibitive. The new ordinance both increased the size and decreased the cost of an ADU. San Luis Obispo 1st Quarter Market Update

We’ve got an update to share with you on the San Luis Obispo real estate market. Although inventory is relatively flat, home sales are way up in all areas of the market. Homes that are priced at market value are selling quickly and with multiple offers and bidding wars. Interest rates are still pretty low as well and keeping buyers in the market.
