My spouse and I love steakhouses, and this outlet of the national chain is one of our favorites. Granted it can be very pricey in the dining room, so we usually hit the bar for happy hour and order lavishly from their steeply discounted bar bites menu. Cocktails are strong and oversized and the room has a nice, clubby, feel to it.

We're going tonight to Morton's for Mothers Day. Honestly, there was no other choice. Morton's has phenomenal appetizers (my mom loves Shrimp Alexander,) entrees, sides, and desserts. There are only a few steakhouses where you get good food for your money and this is one of them. Not only is their food superb, but the service is also excellent. I can't wait to dine there again tonight. Not to mention the wine. My parents are very picky when it comes to wine and they love morton's selection. The space is so open, compared to their old space, and I highly recommend Morton's.

Their new space is great. Although I grew up going to their old space in Back Bay which was dark and cozy this new place is a little brighter (it has windows) and much bigger! The service is still great, the bread is one of the best around, the steaks cooked to perfection and the desserts are delicious. If you are lucky enough to go with someone with a wine locker that is the way to go, otherwise their wines are great if you are willing to spend the money. The meals with sides are big enough to share for two also if you want to keep costs down and still enjoy a nice dinner.

While I am usually hesitant to choose a chain restaurant over a local Boston restaurant, Morton's is definitely one of the exceptions. The filet mignon was one of the best I have ever had, with a choice of sauces to accompany the steak. The sides, from the creamed corn, to the sautéed brussels sprouts, to the lyonnaise potatoes, were all fresh and cooked to perfection. The service was impeccable, as you might expect from any quality steakhouse. Martinis such as the Palm Beach Passion (pineapple infused vodka with passion fruit liqueur and fresh lime) rounded out the experience.

Staff as friendly and quick. Food was okay, could have been better for the place. Was here for a corporate event. Steak was overlooked, veggies were so so.

Wow, Morton's is AWFUL! Total rip off. Huge, poorly prepared portions of bland food served by waiters who are at the Friday's level of service. For the amount of money you pay, I should not have to ask for my drink order three times, the massively over priced side dishes should be correct the first time and I shouldn't have to send back my steak because it wasn't cooked (I know what Medium rare is supposed to look like, and that wasn't even close). What is the appeal? Morton's a time capsule to what an 1980's power restaurant looks and feels like. I expected to see Gordon Gecko dining in the booth next to me. Cross another place off the list....

Been there before and was amazing. This last time we sat at the bar for 20 minutes before we even got a menu at the bar. By the end we walked out and went to another steak house across the road.
