Let's build something!

There are a lot of great things going on in all areas of the Google Developer landscape: I/O dates were announced, Android Study Jams ( http://developerstudyjams.com/ ), Google Cloud Platform Build-Off ( https://lp.google-mkto.com/NA-2015-GCP-Buildoff_Landing-Page.html ), and a lot of updates happening all around.

If you don't have your own project, you can work with someone else, hack on a GDG project, get your feet wet with a codelab, or just spend the time looking through code samples. We'll have something for everyone of any skill level.

When Oracle bought Java, did someone in management issue a decree to create a Java updater in the image of the most annoying software updater of all time - the Adobe updater?

One of the reason I do not use Acrobat, however it's hard to go around Java...

More high speed action video! Your accent was drifting in an out. The Russian persona is cool. Go to Russia for a couple of months. St. Petersburg is a good place, or if you want to be adventurous, Tomsk or Novosibirsk in Siberia. Learn Russian so it becomes more natural.

Have you been looking for some great Soviet-era East German films? I have two recommendations: 1) The Lives of Others, and 2) Good Bye, Lenin.
These are two cinemagraphic gems. You may thank me later.

Is there anybody out there with any expertise with embedding video using asp.net? I'm working on this site where users can post written or video political rants, which would be moderated. There are so many options out there; would it be reasonable to upload to our own db and play, or should we make users post video to a site like youtube and play that? how to ensure Mac, windows, and linux users can play content ? I am mostly looking for recommendations on the best approach. Thanks.
Here is a link to the dev site in progress: http://www.zeyez.com/tth

I think there would be many benefits to upload to youtube or dailymotion as long as you can cross-link the post to your site. You may get more traffic to your site from people who found the video directly on youtube/dailymotion. Of course, then you don't have to worry about storage, bandwidth and management. Other than control, I am not sure there are practical advantages to hosting them yourself (from a user's or traffic perspective).

The grounds are well kept and the maintenance staff are friendly and service oriented. I have found the office staff to also be responsive and friendly. The appliances are not so good. I've had problems with the refrigerator and the washing machine. I've also had water leaking from the ceiling. However, in all cases, the office staff responded to my request for help quickly and the maintenance staff took care of the problem. I have no reason to complain about the people who work here, they are respectful service oriented and helpful. The appliances are cheap, the people are good. I think the buildings and the grounds are laid out nicely and the amenities are nice. It's a pretty apartment complex.
