Staff are very polite and courteous. Will supply almost anything you can think of if you forgot to pack it. Great dining option available on-site. Great beds. Very clean and love the automatic shades! Slightly dated styling, but not ugly.

Great location - prices are pretty high. Staff is very friendly. THe place seems well maintained. If you are driving to SF and staying here, don't forget there is a self park on the corner just diagonal from the hotel and thus a much cheaper parking rate. I had been here and had a breakfast about a year ago that was outstanding. Since then this last time 12/2016 it was a bit of let down. Not nearly as good.

Extremely prime location right next to Union Square and within walking distance to Chinatown. Prices can be reasonable if booking far in advance or at the last minute if occupancy is low. Rooms are spacious and beautifully furnished with a very contemporary feel. The beds are of just the right softness. However, walls and windows are thin. Noise from housekeeping and the street are very obvious. Choose a higher floor if noise is a problem. Otherwise an excellent place to stay when visiting SF.

Went to Easter brunch at restaurant One Up, which is part of the Grand Hyatt. This was absolutely horrific experience. The restaurants staff was very odd, the food tasted like pre-made processed food you'd get at a truck stop. Wouldn't recommend it if it was the last place on earth to eat.

The location at the heart of San Francisco can't be beaten. The hotel itself is incredible. The rooms are great and modern. The showers are excellent. There are great views in every direction, so there's no need to worry about which side of the building your room is on. While I was there, the OneUp restaurant featured a Christmas seafood buffet, which was excellent. The room service is great as well. However note that the menu is a bit limited and that there is a $5 fee in addition to 22% gratuity added on to the price of the meal. Overall, this is my favorite hotel in San Francisco. It's in the heart of the city and offers great access to the city's wonderful public transportation, including the cable car stop a block west of the hotel.

The hotel was well maintained, and the service was impeccable. Beverages, food and drinks were served during the event and the food was delicious. The hotel staff were courteous at all times. Kudos for the work done..

I'm an old road warrior and I've lost count of how many hotels and Hyatts I've stayed at. I can say without question this has been one of my best experiences at any hotel. From the Bellman, front desk (Michaela) to the Grand Club (which you MUST include in your stay), every single Hyatt employee was excellent. When we return to SF there will be NO question, our vacation home will be the Hyatt Grand. And a special thank you to Michele Johnson at Corp Guest Relations who immediately helped us with a Hyatt gift card issue and far exceeded our expectations. Thank you for a wonderful long weekend in your beautiful city.

Walked through during a San Francisco scavenger hunt. Great looking lobby with friendly hostess. The art in the lobby is very nice looking.
