Going into CES 2015, what components should I be watching for home automation?  We want home voice command (and are willing to replace our Amazon Echo that just arrived), smart thermostat, smart lock with camera for the front door, smart lock without camera for the back door, smart "lock" for the garage door (you come through the garage to get to the back door), music throughout the house, and smart media to two TVs.  We have a Plex media server with Roku3 boxes today with DVD collection ripped to Plex server and video from either Plex, Netflix, or Amazon VoD.  Just got Amazon Echo ... but looking at it as a stop gap for audio only.  We personally prefer Google back-end APIs over Amazon - trust Google with our data more than Amazon and we are all Android smartphone users in the house.  Any products or companies we should be watching over the next couple months?  Thanks!

This may help a little: http://ces15.mapyourshow.com/6_0/noscript/featured.cfm I'd like to go, but I think I'll see it virtually through the Padre's eyes. Count on him to see the coolest stuff!
I think I heard he is going.

Does anyone know of any good instructions on how to setup home network monitoring that will alert you when questionable network traffic is discovered?  Specifically, we are looking for alerts when the kids go to questionable websites (but we don't want to block) and I would like if it also detected and alerted as an IDS.  Anyone know a good link or resource I can use to set this up at home?  I am running DD-WRT today.

Amazing food. The muligatuny soup was perfect. The chicken curry and lamb rogan josh were both excellent. We will definitely be back.

I haven't lived in Baltimore for years, but I still have to hit the Szechuan Restaurant every time I visit ... it is right up there with the mandatory trip to Little Italy for desert. The staff are very friendly, the food may not be the most authentic but it tastes wonderful, and the Bon Bon Chicken is to die for.
