Trader Joe's is a neighborhood grocery store with amazing food and drink from around the globe and around the corner. Great quality at great prices. That's what we call value.

Very happy with Trader Joe's for the most part. People expect them to be more expensive because they aren't one of the huge grocery stores, but in fact many items are less expensive than the major grocery stores. At this particular location, I've had difficulties finding some of the organic produce when I need it. I can understand when they run out; but I've called ahead to make sure they have something, and when I've gotten there found that they didn't check for the right items. One time I had an employee argue with me that they had never carried the item I was looking for, when in fact I had purchased it on a regular basis and they were simply out of it that day. He got really snotty and told me that I probably had purchased it at another location and just forgotten. Nope- it was back in stock the next week. I would give them 5 stars if it wasn't for the attitude of just a couple of their employees. Most of them are great.

TJ's is the "It" store for two-person cooking. It is the Anti-Costco - packages are just right for a real meal for something less than a Brood. The packaged, spiced meats (they even have lamb) are great, the Carne Asada is a bit spicy). Nice, efficient cheese selection. The wine section has been raved over elsewhere. Just leave it at "3-Buck-Chuck: 'nuf said". I would not feed a family of four from TJ's, but for one or two, just troll the aisles, view the interesting people, and grab almost anything with a TJ's label. Don't sweat price, it'll be fair.

Living in a few of the Pacific Northwest major metropolitan cities, I've had opportunity to shop several Trader Joe's locations. TJ's Bridgeport is smaller than many, but the employees are no less involved. Several have worked here for years and are always eager to help whether you are looking for something special or just by sharing a kind word for your day. The produce always looks fresh and well stocked. The demo kitchen is always sharing a tasty TJ's website recipe. Even if organic costs a bit more, this Trader Joe's gets their "bell rung" for quality service and going the extra mile

This place is great to find products tailored to the healthy eater at a reasonable price. I myself am vegetarian and love that I can find foods specially made for me or organic green products that are animal testing free! This place is great much better then other local grocery stores. I recommend checking it out
