Juanita is amazing. She's been the manager for 15 years. I've been coming in for that long. They have very little turnover. That's always a good sign at a restaurant. I've never had one complaint about service, so I'm not sure why anyone would gripe about that. They are friendly every time, even when they are slammed, which is often. I always get two meals out of a burrito, which I find well worth the price and freshness. Any negative reviews are most likely people that are never happy, no matter how well they are served, so I'd recommend ignoring those. If I could give more stars I would.

My husband and I ate here for the first time yesterday, and after our first experience I believe we will be eating there again in the future. We ordered burritos, and I love how you build your own instead of choosing something off a menu that is stuffed full of mystery ingredients. They have both 13" wheat and flour tortillas, and you choose what starch, protein, and then veggies that go into your meal. Our burritos ended up being about 8" long and 3" thick, so it took a while to consume. The salsa is amazing, and the chips alone are pretty good even though it looks like they sit under a heat lamp, but it doesn't seem like they stay there long considering the number of customers in and out of the restaurant. They have a small market of uncut veggies right behind the counter so you know they use fresh ingredients, and the staff was very polite and friendly when we ordered. Our meal totaled just over $16 with one drink, so it's not super cheap, but I think it was definitely worth it.

This was my first visit to Mucho Gusto, and I had heard from a neighbor here in Eugene that the restaurant was pretty good, so I had high hopes. Upon entering the restaurant this past weekend with 2 other family members, we noticed signs on the tables and a big sign at the door stating, "Do not sit down until you get your food". Not exactly a warm welcome. My parents were unsure of what to order and we could tell that the workers on the serving line were clearly irritated that we didn't know their menu. My mom ordered a Mucho Dippo (which is basically a big salad with chips) with no meat and no beans, but when she asked for a little more salsa, the server gave her dirty looks and reluctantly gave a small additional spoonful. After we got our food and made our way to a table (yes, we followed their rules), we needed napkins. This restaurant does NOT have napkins available for customers - they have to ask an employee to get them. The food here is very ordinary, nothing special, and for what you get, their prices seem high. Lastly, this is one of those restaurants that leave a place for a tip on the credit card slip even though you stand in a line to place your food, you pick it up at the cash register, you find a table, and you bus your own table. This is simply a personal pet peeve of mine. As expected, I would NOT recommend this restaurant - they need to learn a bit about service and value from Chipotle 2 blocks up.

It's like Qdoba or Chipotle, except everything tastes more fresh. And it's LOCAL, for extra buzzword points!

They're just awesome there. Tip, the chips are included in the price, but you can get a dollar off by asking them to leave them off.

I've always had great customer service at Mucho Gusto. Having working in the service industry for years, good customer service is important to me. They're always cheery, enjoy talking to you and are quick to prepare your order.
