It's now an excruciating experience to shop at RH. It begins with the overtaxed valet parking attendant. You finally go inside to discover that the items you want to see don't happen to be part of any of their staged rooms; nowhere in the store (either RH or RH Modern in Los Angeles) is there a repository of all their accessories. So sales associates suggest you order every variation -- in our case: throws and pillows -- with a plan to ultimately return most of your order. Other retailers in this general price point (such as Design Within Reach, Gold + Williams, Room & Board, Ethan Allen) generally have much of everything they sell for you to see in person. That's why we prefer to shop with their competitors.
