Fun neighborhood bar. Decent food overall, spectacular tater tots. Unparalleled beer selection (although most of it bottle). Good trivia on Wednesday nights, though get there early to nab a seat. Pretty friendly service, good decor. Fun experience overall for quick and easy food and neat atmosphere. On the higher price end for the type of cuisine offered, but not unreasonable.

My husband and I have been going to Dain's Place since they first opened. The staff is amazing, the food is delicious, and they have the best beer list in NC-possibly even the entire United States! Dain, the owner, is super friendly and has a great beard as well! We recommend Dain's Place to everyone-even those with small kids--we have a 10 month old and Dain's Place is pretty much HER favorite place too!

Very Over Priced . I ate there today with three co-workers. The food was good. Service left a little to be desired . Any who after we sat there longer than we should , Don went in a got our bills. I ordered 2 hot dogs a fry and a coke. My bill was 15.48 . When we went in to pay I questioned the guy about 15.48 for 2 hot dogs. He remarked that " This isn't the dog house. I replyed ; " you can sheer a sheep several times but only skin him once. This guy was very hostile , I said I am not coming back . His reply" Good I don't wont you to come back" . On the way back to work we concluded that 15.48 was very excessive . We concluded that the waiter had very poor people skills, or that maybe someone ran over his dog or something. If you plan on eating there , I suggest caring a lot of cash and pack your 9 mm.

this is a 'basic' bar and restaurant. popular with locals and duke students. the burgers and fries are good, with generous portions. beer selection is good. this is a good place for a quick, tasty, filling meal. the staff are attentive, and the meal is served quickly.

I particularly enjoy Sat am breakfasts. But burgers and fires are also great and love the chicken salad. Really great people own it as well as customers.
