Bangkok Pavilion first opened its door in 1987. It became one of the first Thai restaurants to debut the essence of Thai food to Kansas City area.

It says in Here they close at 9:30 pm. me and my lady went there at 8:30pm ( AN HOUR BEFORE THEY CLOSE) the receptionist acted confused whether she should seat us or should kick us out!!! a gentleman behind the bar told her to seat us! then In less than ONE MINUTE another lady shows up with 2glass of water (which it was nice of her but we really didn't want or ask for water) and she tells us with a straight non apologetic face and attitude...the kitchen is going to close! "hurry the **** up attitude" We told them we are leaving because we didn't want to make them feel they must serve us! I was really excited to try this place based on the reviews of how good the food is! but the attitude and treatment killed our appetite

We love this place. When we lived in Germany I had a Thai lady working for me. She would make me a huge Tupperware container full of Thai shrimp fried rice. My wife, kids & I would devour it. Bangkok Pavilion's shrimp fried rice tastes exactly like it. It's definitely a must try. Their Crab Rangoon & duck sauce is the best also.

By far the absolute best Thai food in the Kansas City metro! Anyone who says anything to the contrary is clueless. The kitchen is bustling with Thai women who have probably been cooking this food every day for their entire lives. Incredible options, including low priced duck dishes, which is a rarity. The soups are outstanding and come in large portions. The curries are better then even Indian restaurants in the area I've been to. I would highly recommend this, it's absolutely ruined Thai Place in Westport for me. By far one of the best gems around

We went for the weekend buffet. I do not recommend it. The service was not that great and the food was not good at all.

Best Thai food in the KC area. Remarkably fast and friendly service every time we go. I love their panang curry, and the crab rangoons have so much filling! My husband usually goes for the red or green curry which he loves as well. Would highly recommend this place.

Best Thai food we have had in town. We drive from Independence. Service is friendly and on top of things.

Excellent, excellent food. I had the coconut soup and chicken curry panag with a number 4 out of 5 spicy and it was just great tasting good. Definitely recommend eating here.

I purchased a 50% off groupon for this restaurant. I called in a to-go order, but when I arrived, the restaurant informed me that the groupon was for dine-in only. The manager refused to accept my groupon for the order even after I offered to pay extra for the "to-go materials". They even refused to honor it after I offered to eat my food in the restaurant (thus fulfilling the absurd "dine-in" stipulation). The manager threatened to call the police if I didn't pay the full menu price. I have never experienced customer service this awful. The manager called me stupid and an idiot for not reading the fine-print on the groupon. I was bending over backwards to try to work something out, and the manager continued to insult and threaten me.
