Gabriel Pettier (Tshirtman): Ah, oui, en effet, ça risque d'être compliqué, moi c'est plus récent, sur du windows 98 que j'ai fait ça.

Ivan Pierre: ZX-80 bon j'ai rapidement passé à l'assembleur avant d'utiliser le langage stack sous-jacent de la rom ;). HP80, HP250, TRS-80 marrant, Commodore-8000 super rom, Commodore64 la version light du même, BBC Acorn, the top. Après j'ai perdu de vue jusqu’à des projets VB, mais bon ça date... heu non une traduction de programme de seismologie de basic en FORTRAN.... bon passer d'un dinosaure a un autre... facile de faire un transcodeur... :D

Dan Loaiza: +Ivan Pierre oh je savais pas que le Sinclair zx-80 avait basic. Il fallait 5 mimutes pour lancer un programme avec des cartouche a bandes! trop classe! et la commodore oui j' ai connu ca aussi au college !

ubuntu 13.10 smarter and faster

Dan Loaiza: so you have 12.04 LTS? LTS versions are not released so quickly... and ubuntu is running faster at each version but many drivers like nvidia or manufacturer like asus doesnt bring supports for their drivers for recents versions except LTS. snif...

Julien Arino: True, but I still prefer LTS. Case in point: the other day, I had to upgrade a PC for a new grad student of mine. This PC had been with another grad student of mine for several years. Was running 10.10. Well, I could not upgrade, I had to do a clean install. If it had run 10.04, it would have upgraded to 12.04. And I have such PC's and laptops a bit everywhere..

Dan Loaiza: Yep. now you need to upgrade three times from 12.04 before getting 13.10 working ! Maybe its more convenient with a clean install its just a question of time.
