We were not told that the place was under renovation. There is loud construction going on at all day. Our cars were often boxed in by construction vehicles. Housekeeping checks out at a certain time - we couldn't get new towels after 7pm.

It is over-priced for what you get. Old building, a-la-cart breakfast costing $10-$30, mediocre rooms, great service, good location, good parking, nice restaurant.

I got stranded in Westport one night and wasn't sure if I was going to have to stay or not. We went in to the Westport Inn while we figured out the details and they were immediately hospitable. They put all of our bags in the back while we ate a delicious dinner. The lobby/restaurant area was beautiful and well lit. All of the staff were so friendly and helpful. If I ever end up in Westport again, I would definitely choose to stay there.

I stayed at The Westport Inn last week for business. This place is nothing like the previous reviews. It is newly renovated, great WiFi, clean, great staff and good restaurant & bar. Definately the best place to stay in the area!

Well dressed man at the front desk was a prick. That was a bad start. Then I drove around the building twice looking for my room. Paint is chipping and needs a bit of upkeep. Otherwise things are perfect. A bit cheap for the area, but that's just fine. Free wifi is a perk.

This is the worst "inn" I've ever booked a reservation with in all my 48 years. We were in town on a college visit and decided on this inn based on the misleading photos pictured on line. Once we arrived, we were the ONLY people there. Creepy. We were placed in a room off the indoor pool. Dirty and dated. We decided not to risk it and left. The gentleman at the front desk was nice enough to void the reservation.

OK. It's not an inn, it's a motel. The company I work for put me up here. I hate the way it is laid out... rooms with windows on a corridor with open windows. So if I want fresh air, the is a little from a tiny window, but then I have to leave the curtains open. If I leave the curtains open I am on display at the human zoo for everyone walking through the corridor. The beds are comfortable, but there is no heat. The building does not have heat. It's in the 40s right now, my room is cold. After being told there is no heat they offered me a blanket. What they brought me was a mattress pad. This place blows.

Let me start off by saying I am a successful 36 year old professional that was in need of a suite for 30 days, from 12/29/09. I called the hotel after looking it up online and a very rude man answered the phone with an accent that was very hard to understand. I asked for a suite for a month and he put me on hold for 9 minutes, so I called back, thinking he may have forgotten about me. He could not of been more rude, so I asked him his name and the owners name, he hung up on me, twice. Then I called the 888 number hoping to get someone else, and he answered again! This time he asked me why i keep calling back after he hung up on me, and if I was on DRUGS! He continued to refuse to tell me his name or the name of the owner, finally I asked him if HE was the owner, and he told me he was the owner and i was on drugs and not to call back! He then hung up on me again. I never even raised my voice, nor was rude in any way! HE cannot actually be the owner or he would of disclosed it the first three phone calls?! No business man acts like that to a professional trying to book a suite for a month! This place was a nightmere from the first phone call. If you would like a truely great stay try the NORWALK INN & CONFERENCE CENTER, owned by a professional businessman named CHRIS, he runs a great place and the dining is exceptional, the Hotel and staff are exceptional.
