If you are a fan of the original Star Trek series as I am then you must check out "Star Trek Continues" (STC). I stumbled across this web series whilst looking for Alexander Courage on IMDB. I was trying to find all scores he had composed and STC showed up in the list. This series began as a Kickstarter a few years back and received enough support to build the sets and "film" 3 feature episodes with the 4th funded but not yet filmed. The project started as a dream of Vic Mignogna, a long time fan of "Star Trek: The Original Series" (TOS). It stars Vic as Captain James T. Kirk, Todd Haberkorn as Spock, Chuck Huber as Dr. Leonard H. McCoy, Chris Doohan (son of James "Scotty" Doohan) as, you guessed it, Montgomery Scott and Grant Imahara (from Mythbusters) as Hikaru Sulu as well as many others too numerous to list here. Other guest stars include Michael Dorn (Worf from ST:TNG and ST:DS9), Marina Sirtis (Deanna Troy from ST:TNG) and Michael Forrest (Apollo from an episode of ST:TOS).

The production company has gone to great lengths to recreate the sets, set decorations and props from the original series. The special effects are true to form as well with only minor improvements. The wardrobe is classic Trek too with those familiar gold, red and blue uniforms and the short skirts. It's clear from the care taken to reproduce the look and feel of the original series that the crew producing Star Trek Continues has a special place in their hearts for the original. It's even filmed in the "standard" TV aspect ratio of 4:3 even though they are clearly using high definition equipment.

So go pour yourself a glass of Saurian Brandy or Romulan Ale (if you happen to have some), snuggle up with a tribble and beam on over to http://startrekcontinues.com/ and get lost in some good ol' Trek.

I apologize for the sappy humor at the end but I am so ecstatic over finding this series that I'm giddy.

If you like what you see, please consider donating to the project so we can continue to have some quality Trek being made.

These guys are just as much in the wrong as Emperor Obama. They took the same oath to defend the Constitution as the Emperor and yet they are trampling on it just as he is. The current Republican leaders are not conservatives. They're big government crony capitalists.

At his press conference today, Speaker of the House John Boehner asked Democrats for help passing his bill to keep the government open, and then he had the nerve to bash President Obama.

The current Republican leadership has stated in no uncertain terms that under no circumstances will they "shut down the government". Besides the fact that they wouldn't be responsible for a government shutdown if one occurred. Technically it would be the President who, by not signing a funding bill, would effect a government shutdown. Plus, it's not the entire government that goes on furlough during a shutdown. It's only about 17%. That's less than one fifth. All necessary departments remain in operation. Which begs the question, "if the 17% that's shutdown isn't necessary then why not just get rid of it?"

Let me clear up one thing in regards to a government shutdown that has been brandied about. It's been said that if the government fails to pass a budget which leads to a shutdown of non-essential governmental offices that the United States will default on her loan payments. THIS IS NOT TRUE. The Constitution guarantees that our debt will be paid first before anything else. Well I might have misspoke. I believe there is one way the debt might go unpaid. The president, at his discretion, choose not to make our loan payment.

Anyway, I thought I'd ask you to ponder something. Could our nation survive more than one government shutdown? If you answered "no" Then you would be mistaken. Take a look at the page linked to below. You might be surprised at what you see. Pay particular attention to the number of days. Note who had the highest number.

The link below is to a video featuring an audio recording by a Canadian radio broadcaster back around 1973. It was later released as a record. I remember hearing it back then. It gave me goose bumps and made me proud of my country. We live in the best nation ever to grace the Earth. Americans have sacrificed life, money and time helping other nations and and peoples. We contribute to more charities than any other nation on the planet. America does not need to be fundamentally transformed, apologized for, deconstructed, divided along racial lines or lorded over by an out of control bureaucratic government. It does not need an emperor who rules with a "pen and a phone". What it does need is to return to the rule of the Supreme Law of our Land, the Constitution. Her people need to return to the principles that made us a "shining city on a hill." There are forces at work who wish to divide us and cause strife among our people. We are a nation of diverse races that once were a "melting pot" blended together, working together as one toward strengthening our families and country. However there are forces at work who wish to divide us and cause strife between us. The inscription on the back of a dollar bill says "E Pluribus Unum". This translates to "From Several to One". We are a nation of several (many) who are one people. Divisions do not strengthen but weaken. We are strong when we are united. So let us work toward unity and healing;healing for our neighbors and our land.

I am not saying we are a perfect people or nation. There is no such thing. Every family has it's problems, makes mistakes and sometimes causes harm to others. I challenge anyone to compare our problems, mistakes and harms we have done to those of other countries ruled by totalitarian dictators or communist regimes and weigh them on the scales of Justice and see which nation is the better one.

I ask you, if we are such a racist, unjust and evil nation then why are there more people trying to get INTO America than out of America?

Be proud to be an American.

Seems that agency we all know and love thinks it is above the law.
Back in February, President Barack Obama said the apparent targeting of conservative organizations by the IRS was not illegal or politically motivated, but rather the result of “some bone-headed decisions,” and that “not even a smidgen of corruption” was at play. A few months — and developments — later, however, the president’s words are even less believable than they were then.

Looks like Sheriff Clarke of Milwaukee County better get ready for sensitivity training. He was speaking at the National Press Club on November 12th of this year and made some very insensitive remarks. [sarcasm intended]. So I suspect Emperor Obama will be sending his law enforcement "sensitivity squad" out to retrain Sheriff Clarke. To most of you this will be obvious but for all the others I will note here that Sheriff Clarke is of the same persuasion (ethnic wise) of Michael Brown, Eric "the thug" Holder and Emperor Barrack Hussein "Benito" Obama (aka. Barry Sotoro).
