Working on faculty job applications. It's pretty intense. Would anybody out there be up for looking over some of my materials and providing comments?

Mostly I'm objecting to the use of a histogram with a per time unit. I could reasonably present either data set in that graph in terms of Gb or Gb/a and since the steps of the graph are yearly, one can use the same values.

But discovery would traditionally be a quantity and consumption would traditionally be a quantity over time and that's how I read the graph (since he did use a histogram and all :)).

I suppose I should add that in no way do I think that there is no income disparity or that the poor in this country are not better off than the poor in many others. But this chart does not capture reality in anything but a very superficial manner.

I see that Google+ now has animated "slide show" displays of comment threads. How do more regular users of Google+ find this feature?
