Wine Quick Takes: Ruffino Prosecco NV (DOC; Italy)

Off-dry pears; clean and crisp mouthfeel. Slightly "sweeter" than average, though still dry.

Tons of pears and very little citrus and apple (in comparison with usual prosecco); this one comes across as noticeably "sweeter" than average while not actually being sweet. Though snobs tend to look down on it, I actually like a whiff of sweetness in my bubbly, so this is actually a plus for me. Fabulous with fresh strawberries. Good value at only $11 / bottle.
