Are you interested in #travel or #internationalbusiness? One of the most exciting parts of the M.S. in Management of Technology is the international residency to emerging market nations. Just a few weeks ago, the Management of Technology (MOT) class of 2017 visited cities in both China and Singapore for a two-week, eye-opening, agenda-packed trip. Here they are visiting Huawei's 9,000-staff R&D headquarters in Shanghai. We recently had the pleasure of hosting Dr. Bruce Ramshaw, head of surgery at the graduate school of medicine at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville, for our Technically Speaking series. Dr. Ramshaw, who specializes in hernia surgery, discussed how complex systems science (as opposed to reductionist science) can be applied to health care to improve the patient experience and address the industry's accelerating pace of change.
