For the amount was charged the customer service for this company was disappointing. What was discussed at the estimate was not followed. The hedge that needed trimmed was discussed to be trimmed back to the natural area marked out by concrete blocks. What was written down was estimate of 1.5 to 2 feet of trimming back the hedge. This seemed like a reasonable distance to reach that area. The problem was the date they decided to come out to do the job was 2 months later and the contract was written at the time of the estimate. That also gave the hedges 2 months to grow out even more and no longer be a valid amount to reach the natural area. The original discussion was brought up about this but I was told the contract must be followed to the letter to avoid issues. I was present at the time of the hedge trimming, I work from home. When they arrived I only knew they were there when their saws started up. No one come up to announce they were there. I went out and spoke briefly with an employee to say "hey I'm here and let me know if they needed anything". When they were done no one stopped by to say they were done or to see if it was what I requested. The owner was on the job and said he wasn't aware I was home. This is not surprising since again no one came to announce they were there. I, again, work from home so I cannot be out there to whole time to supervise the job. If the company doesn't believe in even trying to talk to the customer when they arrive and leave, they should not be surprised when their customers are dissatisfied. The customers can't raise the issues while they are there to make sure the work is to their liking.
