If your phone or tablet has #Android 4.1.1, it could be vulnerable to so-called "reverse #Heartbleed " attacks. Here's how to find out if you're vulnerable and fix the problem: http://bit.ly/1hSEdzy

(article by +Graham Cluley) #mobile #security
Millions of Android smartphones and tablets are at risk of being attacked via the Heartbleed bug, more than a week after the security vulnerability was first made public.

If you're developing a TV pilot, film script, or comic book script, check out Javier Grillo-Marxuach's collection of all his sold scripts, outlines, and pitch documents. As he describes it, "it's like a free film school!"

For my fellow #LOST fans: The script of "All the Best Cowboys Have Daddy Issues" (Season 1, Episode 11) is included!

Tonight I got to sit in the Captain's chair of the Enterprise and see the real Space Shuttle Endeavour up close. Thanks to #MacTechConf for an awesome evening!

+Graham Cluley It sounds suspiciously like you're trying to start a flame war. ;o)

I've read in the Wikipedia article about Torchwood that Doctor Who's "target audience contains both adults and children" (as opposed to Torchwood, which "is aimed at an older audience").

I haven't seen any of the original Doctor Who series (but I've noticed that the new series makes references to it; I'm currently viewing Season 5 [2010] on Netflix). I seem to remember it being on TV when I was a kid, but I never watched it. (Probably because it looked old, and starred an old man… and because my dad usually picked something else. I imagine the original Doctor Who series was more popular in Britain.) My dad has always liked sci-fi shows. Most of what I know about Star Trek was learned watching the various series (particularly TNG, and also DS9 and Voyager) with my dad. We owned the Star Wars Trilogy (Special Edition) on VHS.

Now the only videos I own of any of these shows are the widescreen editions of Star Wars Episodes III-VI on DVD (Episodes I and II weren't up to par with III-VI, IMO). And apparently I have some prequels to Doctor Who Season 6 (2011) episodes, which must have been free downloads on iTunes. Again, I'm still on Season 5, so no spoilers please (or "Spoilers!" as River Song often says with a smirk).

Naw, no offense taken. :) Just find it a shame to see anyone toss out a perfectly working PC just because Microsoft decides to stop supporting the software. Ironically, it's EXACTLY the people who aren't ubergeeks that can and should use Ubuntu/Kubuntu/etc. I've had my mom using it for a while and she's no geek by any measure. Additionally, if you're just browsing the web and checking email, there's really no reason you couldn't just replace XP with Linux withhout spending a dime on a new computer.

So… if you have an iPhone 5S with fingerprint scanning enabled, anyone can unlock it by merely knocking you unconscious. Brilliant.
