I have been chatting up the company I work for; Poptent Media for our creative work, etc. I wanted to share this company wide message from our President Neil Perry; I waited to share until we could all take advantage!

*This is just a friendly reminder to all of you procrastinators out there. Valentine’s Day is less than two weeks away.

If you haven’t ordered flowers; sought out a nice card or two; made a reservation for dinner at someplace nice, then come a week from Tuesday here’s what you’ll be presenting to your spouse or significant other:

• Raggedy flowers that will die in about a day
• A card with frayed edges and smudges since a hundred people before you had read it and rejected it already
• A table for two at Mickey D’s
• And a box of cheap Candy that even Tim wouldn’t eat

Get on it today … now in fact!

Friendly advice from the Prez*

Hello Fox Ford Chicago; thank Eric and the service team in Marquette fro sending you new customer. I as dropping off my son at NMU when my washer fluid stopped pumping. I took my Ford Fiesta to Fox Marquette where Eric and the service team got me in, early on Monday, correctly guessed that the BLUE washer fluid was frozen in the U.P. January. Eric flushed the frozen fluid out and replaced it with PURPLE fluid (Yooper winter rated!). I was in and out in about an hour and was not charged. I'm already a satisfied Fox Ford customer without ever visiting the new Chicago store. Thanks Fox Marquette, see you soon Fox Chicago. #thngsIlearnedfromYoopers

I drove up from Chicago to take my son to school. On the way I had no washer fluid, which is very important with all the sand they use in the U.P. I needed to get on the road early, so I was there right after they opened on Monday morning. They got me right inside, their best guess was the washer fluid was frozen. I had no idea that was possible, but I haven't been in the U.P. in January, ever. Eric was right, there was 4" of frozen washer fluid in the bottom of the reservoir. They put the car up on the rack, got the frozen fluid out and replaced it with fresh PURPLE washer fluid. I was in and out in less than 1 hour and NO CHARGE! Eric was awesome. I don't get to Marquette often enough to be a great customer there, but I will definitely be working with new Fox Ford in Chicago. And I will be using PURPLE washer fluid from now on. Thanks Fox Ford Marquette. #thingsIlearnedfromYoopers

Great service from Sonya helping us get the drafting tools we NEEDED right away. Hard to imagine a drafting emergency, but we had one. Sonya knew the store and pulled our stuff together for us; like that a designer meltdown averted. Thanks to Blick LP store.

I say this with peace and love. I am a novice guitar player and was shopping for a new instrument recently. I stopped into Avenue N thinking they were specialists, was thinking I could buy an guitar and look into lessons. I went in on a Sunday afternoon, there were 3 people in the store, at least 2 worked there. After "Hello", no one said a word to me. They stayed up in front, talked among themselves (one of them is moving to Germany?) while I pulled guitars and played them. I was there for 25 minutes, not a word to me. I left and spent real money on a guitar at Guitar Center. Looking around for lessons, if anyone knows a good teacher.

Comcast does only one thing well; collect money. The service absolutely sucks. In order to get out from under their lousy internet service I need to make a 2 hour commitment to stand in line to turn in the modem. This tactic is deliberate, and effective. DO NOT EVER GET INVOLVED WITH THIS COMPANY FOR ANY REASON. If I could I would rate ZERO stars, HATED IT sums up the experience.

Mike and his service team take great care of my Dodge Grand Caravan. The service is excellent and priced fairly. I stopped going to the dealership because they are always either over charging or "finding" issues to repair the vehicle. Mike is honest and fair; I trust him with the car I drive my family around in. We rely on him for all of our service and maintenance, you should too.

We were so pleased to find such a superb menu in this small mountain town. Chef Klaus offers excellent local, Schwaben, dishes and favorites too. We started with Marksklasse soup, the broth was hearty, but not heavy, the dumplings flavorful and not too dense. I enjoyed the Weiner Schnitzel prepared perfectly. My son had short ribs of wild boar, in a red wine sauce that was amazing. They offer two types of bratwurst; weisse and rot, I tried them both, the rot was especially good. Arrange for a ride home and enjoy some of the Schnapps of master distiller Martin Sauter, father of the chef; a perfect end to a real Schwaben experience. The experience includes warm, friendly service typical of the folks we met here. Ausgeseischnet!
