Read all about our Real Weddings featured couple, Jodi & Adam:

How we met:
My best friend growing up went to college with Adam. One night my best friend, Jamie, and I were visiting New York (where Adam lived) and we had plans to go out for my other friends birthday. Jamie suggested some of her single guys friends come along and described them as cute. Adam and I met that night and from then on could not stop talking to each other. The rest is history :)

Proposal:
Adam woke me up at 730am and I was obviously fast asleep. He said he needed me to look at something and that he made a mistake outside in the living room. At first I said no way, I'm not getting out of bed and then he kept saying please- I need you to help me. I then thought he spilled something on our white upholstered white bench. I got up and my hands were over my face cause I was so tired but then I saw the dining room table was covered in roses and there was champagne (with some poured into champagne flutes I did not know he knew we had) and a ring box in the center and then I saw the IPad was on record and I wasn't wearing pants so I quickly ran to get pants. And then he proposed, we cheersed, drank champagne at 8am, went to an amazing brunch, and then were surprised by our closest friends and family afterwards. It was the best day!

About the Ring:
With the help of his jeweler and mom, Adam picked out the perfect ring. He selected an elongated cushion cut stone for a custom Italian setting featuring a diamond halo and two tapered side baguettes, completed with a diamond gallery (something I knew nothing about). Whenever we talked about it he always told me you'll love what I give you and he surpassed all my expectations - considering he doesn't even put away his own laundry. http://bit.ly/1OVi9In

This was an amazing hotel stay for my family and I. Park Hyatt Washington has a extremely friendly and helpful staff. Upon check-in we were given an upgrade to a junior suite which was prefect for our family. Very spacious suite with a gorgeous bathroom. The Blue Duck Tavern restaurant was accommodating and absolutely delicious. The pool was an excellent retreat for relaxing.

The Park Hyatt Washington offers great service, excellent food, and a quiet, unobtrusive environment. I would definitely stay here again.

Park Hyatt Washington is a good place for family and friends, was my very first time in the hotel with my family. I really Love it, the overall experience is super, I do recommend it to all those looking for good place to relax and enjoy while in DC. I was at room 1031 for 5 days.

Great location for Georgetown and Dupont Circle area stay. Park Hyatt offers complimentary Mercedes car to drive you within 5 miles. Pool is small but good size for the area. The Duck Tavern is excellent for specialty items. Not too close to regular DC tourist spots though.

The hotel is in a quiet location and is further from the tourist sites (but not more than a 15 minute long drive). The staff at valet and the front desk were friendly and professional. And when I had to call down because our tub wouldn't drain the maintenance staff was quick and courteous. We had a junior suite with a city view. The view was nice and the suite was nicely sized. The bathroom is beautiful with a nice tub and walk-in shower. My only complaint about the room is the fact that there are not outlets on both sides of the bed. I had a massage and facial that was relaxing but not what I would expect from a 5 star hotel. I will skip their offerings when we stay again.

We spent valentine's/president's day at this beautiful hotel. The blue duck tavern is amazingly good food. I would have eaten every meal there if I had enough stomach room! We had two rooms: the junior suite which is more like a room and the following night we were supposed to move to the Park executive suite but we only could move at 6.30p because of the prior guest. Unfortunately, for our night in the executive suite we didn't get the same treatment as the junior suite where we had a cheese plate, beer, chocolate covers strawberries, and good night chocolates. This was a little surprising that we didn't even get chocolates, but maybe I had too high an expectation for the park suite, which was a beautiful room. The best part of both rooms is the bathrooms and the gorgeous showering/bathing facilities. The best surprise was the bench in the elevator which was a little funny but unique! I would return to stay in a heartbeat. The hotel was able to accommodate our change in checkout time at 4am because of the whether. Room service for breakfast was easily ordered and delivered at 3.30a. It was delicious as well!

This hotel offers impeccable service and the Blue Duck Tavern is a great restaurant. Everyone at this hotel - the doorman, restaurant staff, reception team did a great job of welcoming guests. I was particularly impressed by David at the Blue Duck Tavern. He was able to recommend some excellent wine that paired very well with the food. The chef at the restaurant made a special pasta vegetarian dish for me - which was phenomenal. I travel a lot for work and am a Starwood Gold member. This place just has the best service, rooms, food and bar!
