While not a prodigy, cool story.  She's worked for her skills and her expertise.

I agree with limited hunting for the purpose of raising money.  It's all about who and how many is allowed.  As long as it is regulated, i have no issues.

Intent matters not at all when it comes to stuff like this.  Case and point, 2 drunk drivers who got pulled over, 1 after he had a wreck and killed someone.  Studies have shown that the 2nd guy is seen as more evil even though the level of intent is the same between the 2.  Life in prison? Nah, she didn't intend to kill anyone, but she does deserve punishment due to the loss of life that was her fault.  She messed up, she must face the consequences.

Considering how toxic sugar is, a good alternative is a smart idea.  My problem is that sweets in general can be very addicting which will lead to all sorts of other health problems.  I'm not the biggest fan of sweet and there is far too much sweetness in our diets as Americans if you ask me.  Moderation and portion control, as ever, will always be key to healthy living.

Corporations should never have rights trumping the rights of any individual. Period.

Corporations should not have more rights than an individual.  It's yet 1 more example that companies run our country, not the people.

It's going to take a leap in technology.  Just because we found a technological limitation does not mean it is the end of planet hunting.  It's still VERY important to look and log all these discoveries so when we get the technology to look closer, we know where to look first.  New, larger telescopes like Megellan might help (i'm pretty sure i misspelled that) and who knows what the next 20 years holds with new tech.  Don't be sad!!  With the new radio telescope projects and the large arrays going up around the world, we may have new insights in radio astronomy, too.

I wholly support the death penalty and it should be something that is 'safe', reliable and consistent.  If there is any doubt, then it probably shouldn't happen.  I agree with the points in the study.  The countries with the lowest crime rates have capital punishment- that's a fact- and I think we should actually have stiffer penalties for stuff like rape.  I have had some really evil thoughts of what I would have liked some particularly evil people and I don't think a little suffering is all that bad for them.  I not sorry, but if you take a life with malicious intent or rape, you are destroying someone's humanity and you have given up the right to be treated humanely.

+LostSouls I don't think there is any tolerance toward crime that breeds criminals. In what country is is ok to be a criminal? Every criminal have somehow been failed by society.
