Had a grand time a few weekends ago with +Sean Bagshaw and +David Cobb on the Oregon Coast. I signed up through the +Photo Cascadia
web site after seeing a photo presentation by Sean in my hometown of Medford last spring. I was one of 15 or so like minded photographers hoping to hone their skills in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere that their workshops provide. I opted to rent a Canon 5DMk3 as my primary camera and brought along my Canon 7D as a backup. I'd done a lot of research on the 5D and so the learning curve was greatly reduced, but not totally resolved. Still, I came out of the weekend with many great keeper shots from the new camera and I truly hated to send it back to Lensrentals (A great company, by the way!)
I learned a few things from the experience: 1.) I will be taking more of their workshops, 2.) I need to figure out how to get a Mk 3 and 3.) I need to shoot on a daily or at least more regular basis than what I am currently shooting. I think it makes a difference.
In the meantime, here is one from the Oregon Coast around Shore Acres. Thanks again to Sean and David for the great learning experience!
