Quick reference for Google APIs
While working with different Google APIs I often find myself jumping around different developers.google.com
pages to figure out exactly what parameters I can use, or what response to expect from different API calls.
While the docs are great at getting you started with the APIs and all the detailed information is there as well, for me it's sometimes just too many clicks involved to get to the information I want, which is why I started building this quick reference, which gets me to all information I might need in a matter of two clicks. One click to choose the API I want, and one click to get details about the method I want.https://discovery-check.appspot.com/docs/
This was also a fun experience in Polymer:
The <google-api-list> element has <core-ajax> request to https://www.googleapis.com/discovery/v1/apis
with the result bound to a table.
When clicking on an API a <google-api-doc> element will be displayed, which has another <core-ajax> request to retrieve the discovery document, and then uses several simple/repeated/conditional/recursive templates to render the data.
I'll write up a short article about my Polymer experiences in the process when I get around to it :)
