It's sad how downhill the NFL Network has gone over the last few years. It used to be my favorite station. I remember switching from Time Warner Cable to FIOS because TWC dropped it. Now it is laughably bad.
I realize there's not much news between the Draft and Training Camp, but how many days in a row do we need to talk about Manziel going to Las Vegas. A guy went out and had fun on his time off. So what? They've spent more time on Manziel in Vegas than an NFL owner getting busted for drugs.
The saddest part is the NFL is missing a HUGE opportunity during this so-called dead area. There are hundreds of new players hoping to get a job. America loves reality TV. Combine those two concepts: teach fans about their new players -- ALL of them. The 7th rounders. The UFAs. Get them to root for these players and preseason becomes a lot more fun.
The sad part is when the NFL Network does highlights on preseason games, they basically ignore the second half when these guys play. Instead, they should be focusing more on that half. With the popularity of fantasy football, there are tons of fans that would watch it just to find a hidden gem late in their FF draft.
C'mon, NFL. Get it together.
