I know we are going to hear about it all week, but I'm sick of the non-pass interference call in the Lions game being referred to as some type of game changer. It didn't take points off the scoreboard. It didn't rob them of a first down. Stafford through a poor pass to a receiver that wasn't complete and wasn't going to be complete no matter if Hitchens bumped him a little or not. All the picking up of the flag did was mean that the Lions didn't get a do over after a bad play.
The Lions still would have needed to score, which they hadn't been doing much of in the second half. They still had the opportunity to stop Dallas, which they didn't. They had plenty of time to drive down for a game winning touchdown at the end, but they didn't.
I understand Lions fans feeling ripped off, but at the end of the day, the Cowboys won the game with their play on the field. I understand the media looks at it like a gift from heaven that they can write about all day, but the real story of the game was the Lions punching the Cowboys in the mouth during the first half and the Cowboys getting up off the mat.
