I'm a lucky, lucky girl to have been the daughter of such an amazing woman. She will be missed terribly.

Me and Ms 4yo (who last went camping when she was about a year old):
4yo: Where did daddy go?
Me: He went camping.
4yo: How did he DO that?
Me: He packed a tent and sleeping bag and stuff and drove to the mountains.
4yo: But he CAN'T!
Me: Why not?
4yo: Because I know we're out of marshmallows!
Me: So?
4yo: You can't go camping without marshmallows!!

Thin crust #glutenfree  pizza

playing around with delayed ferment dough, with no gums.  This one is nice if I do say so!

QOTD Would you plan a day ahead for gluten-free pizza?

Coconut kefir. I mixed 1/4 cup of finished, plain water kefir with 1 qt homemade coconut milk. It separated during culturing (I shook it once 12 hours before this) but it shakes back together and holds fairly well in the fridge. It makes a great smoothie base or buttermilk substitute. Dairy-free buttermilk biscuits anyone?http://www.culturesforhealth.com/sourdough-biscuits-recipe/

My Ottobre Women's tunic from the Spring '12 issue I believe?
Gray Kaufman linen and stash cotton print. I'm quite tickled with it.

Needs hand-stitching, buttons and a final pressing. Then, Theodora time!

Introduction
Oregon woman by way of Idaho experiencing each day as it comes.  Mom to 4 amazing kids, each with their own incredible story.  I'm still watching in awe as they write those stories.
I keep my sanity by reading, sewing and gardening.  And try to keep remembering to write down my recipes.  So if I get hit by a bus, no one has to reinvent the wheel in figuring out how to feed my brood.
Bragging rights
Again, mom to 4. If that's not incredible enough, I cook for a variety of food allergies with mostly unique recipes.

It's hard to find a restaurant with real gluten free options. Sweet Basil's did it with flair! I had the Cubano sandwich on Udi's bread and my husband had the crab and Portabello melt. Both were fantastic. When the waitress explained that they always try to also have a gluten free dessert, that it was chocolate cake, made in-house, we had to try! It was wonderful. More fudge-y than cake-y and just enough sugar to cut the bitterness of the chocolate. They also have a gf beer option. And the server was super sweet. Those who complain about the service must have missed the signs in their face upon entrance. This is a very small cafe. There is one stove, one cook and real food. Real food has to be cooked, not just warmed up. I imagine a little grace on the customer's part will go a long way to getting you good service. ;)
