The Veterans Administration has gone digital! I received this gadget today from VA Palo Alto and it will allow my VA Palo Alto doctor (635 miles away) to remotely monitor my daily health and also deliver video messages and health/wellness content. I can also reply to "questions" from the doctor. It is tied to my VA electronic health record and brings the doctor's office to my home office. Device by ExpressMD Solutions. #health   #wellness   #veterans   #gadgets

You can still catch this NASA Hangout live in a few minutes from Yuma Proving Ground in Yuma Arizona!
If you are having trouble viewing the Hangout, try watching it on YouTube here: Join NASA for one of the Orion Spacecraft's Most Difficult Parachute Tests --

Join us to watch a Google+ Hangout from the U.S. Army's Yuma Proving Ground in Arizona from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. EDT July 24, as an Orion test capsule is dropped from a plane at 35,000 feet to evaluate its parachutes.
During the event, you will see one of Orion's most difficult parachute tests to date and hear from NASA and Army team members involved. Engineers will simulate a failure of one of the spacecraft's three main parachutes, releasing it before Orion has landed.
Exploration Flight Test-1, an uncrewed test of the spacecraft that will send Orion 3,600 miles away from Earth, is scheduled for September 2014. Orion's parachutes are being tested to ensure they can slow the capsule for a safe landing in the Pacific Ocean as the spacecraft reenters Earth's atmosphere from deep space missions at speeds of up to 20,000 mph.

Want to ask a Question? Submit questions on Google+ or Twitter in advance and during the event using the hashtag #askOrion. Before the Hangout begins, we will open a comment thread on the NASA Facebook page where questions may be posted.

Ask Alan Pruitt what he “does,” and he’ll tell you, “it depends.”

That’s because Pruitt wears more than one hat when he’s stoking the irons in his career fire at any given moment.

Pruitt is currently the SaaS (Software as a ServiceImplementation Manager at Insperity, Inc. (NYSE: NSP), a Texas-based company that serves as an advisor to American businesses, providing a variety of human resource and business solutions designed to help improve business performance.

Before joining Insperity, Pruitt was director of the non-profit Western Arizona Economic Development District (WAEDD), the largest (geographically) economic development district in Arizona. In 2010, he served as a business analyst at the
Arizona Western College Small Business Development Center (SBDC) in Yuma, earning recognition for its outstanding service and economic impact to the community, and honored as the 2010 Center of Excellence for meeting or exceeding key goals for the year. The Arizona SBDC Network measures economic impact in job creation and retention, business starts, sales increases and capital formation when determining success. Pruitt’s efforts as a part of the SBDC team played a significant role in the Center’s positive impact on the Yuma area economy.

Pruitt is an early adaptor of all things Google, as a Google Technology User Group (GTUG) volunteer community manager for the state of Arizona and an active contributor to the Google Trusted Tester Program.
