The place is small, if you want to have brunch on weekends, make sure to get early (before 10:30 AM). Order the soft scrambled eggs, they are really good. I couldn't try the coffee cake and other pastries but at least looks delicious. Prices are somewhat high, but the quality of the ingredients worth it.

I've only been here for brunch and I can only give it an average rating. I think the ambience was great and all, but in terms of food, it just didn't blow me away, nor was much of it all that memorable. Parking isn't too difficult to find, but the wait is usually horrendous, unless you're lucky. Overall, I don't mind bringing my friends here, but if you're looking for a delicious and memorable brunch, there are better places to go to in the city.

I had an amazing brunch here on a 70-degree Saturday morning.  My friends and I arrived at 10am -- no wait! To start, we had beignets with strawberry and whipped cream.  There were exactly three of them and the portions were perfect. For mains, my friend and I got the egg + chicken sausage english muffin sandwich.  It was surprisingly substantial -- almost like a burger.  The egg was cooked over easy, which made it seem more like a companion to the sausage rather than the primary part of the sandwich. The summer squash and salad were nice and light, which was really needed to balance the heaviness of the savory bits. My other friend had the scrambled eggs with grape tomatoes, herbs, and feta.  She described it as "unique" and ate the whole thing :) My friend ordered coffee. She said it was bitter but she drank a lot of it.  They refilled it several times, always before she finished. Service was prompt.  The waiter had a classy black tattoo of a sakura (?) tree. I highly recommend the outdoor seating!

Came here for dinner with a couple friends. It was pretty busy. The decor was nice and reminded me of the walrus and the carpenter in Seattle. The food was, in my opinion, pretty overpriced. I got a flatbread pizza-esque dinner that was about $15...but it was small and much more basic than a pizza for the same price at pizzaolo in the east bay. We had a really uncomfortable situation occur with the waitstaff as well. Nobody served us bread, and there is a counter in the front that looks like a self service bread and water counter. My friend went to grab us some bread, and we got dirty looks from all the staff...pretty uncomfortable. Probably wouldn't come here again, but the food was okay.

I've been there a couple of times now and the food is definitely good and for the location the prices are fair it would seem. Though sometimes the portions feel like they are too big for me, but then again who complains about large portions. Either way, the service is very good and it's a wonderful little neighborhood eatery to get a relaxed dinner or brunch in your own 'hood. Recommended.

Delicious, really rich, /really/ long waits on the weekends.
