The man that found some serious holes in Apple's security features in iOS has been kicked out of their developer programs.
One would have thought they would have actually rewarded him for helping to protect their customers, wouldn't you?

Just had my invite from Diaspora, so have signed up. At first glance it looks very much like Google+. I like the # follow tag system though.

It's desolate there. I put in a lot of interests and most of them have barely a handful of adherents. Early days, but I do feel they may have missed the boat what with the arrival of Google+ in the meantime.

More problems at Apple, this time over the poor battery life of the new iPhones that some people are experiencing. In reading the news article at the Guardian website I came across the following comment which sort of sums things up.

Love the comments after that article :-) Must say I'm not impressed with the iPhone, I find it lacking a lot of features I used to have on my old Samsung from 2007. Unfortunately I still have a year and a half to go on the iPhone contract.

Personally I think it is about time all single faith schools were abolished. In my view they do nothing other than cause suspicion, distrust, religious intolerance and racism.

An amazing story with maybe an answer to a long asked question to come soon?

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-north-west-wales-15628885
First DNA results appear to rule out Spanish origins for the 18th Century survivor of a shipwreck off Wales, who began a remarkable dynasty in orthopaedic medicine.
