It must be fun growing up in Rio de Janeiro. Great weather every day & you can go play futbol at the beach without a care in the world.

A slew of boats rest on the serene playa in Akumal, Mexico. I walked along the water’s edge taking photos of the boats just as the sun was setting behind me. It is one of my favorite beaches in the Mayan Riviera. Can't wait to return.

Who remembers walking down Broadway in downtown Los Angeles back in the 80’s or 90’s? Yea, it was a pretty sketchy place. Well, much has changed since then. Now the lights are back on in DTLA with many new businesses and residences. You can walk down the street and admire the classic theaters that have been magnificently restored. This is the Orpheum Theatre and it is one of my favorites. Enjoy!

The most magical view of Los Angeles is from atop the Griffith Observatory. I captured this shot way back in 2012 on a rare cloudy evening in LA. I haven’t been up there in a while but I think it’s time to pay a visit. I miss the magic.

Because LA is a beauty in color but her soul can be dark...dark like the night.

If you are looking for a nice place to enjoy a California sunset, you can’t go wrong with La Jolla. The waves come thundering in and crash against the rocks while you enjoy the warm hues of the setting sun. This group of guys were standing on the edge of the rock and I thought they were going to be swept away by a giant wave. They were tossing a frisbee back and forth and one of them was even strumming a ukelele. Only in California.

The best way to get around Havana is via bicycle. You can admire the beautiful, multi-colored architecture along its cobblestone streets and then head off to drink a mojito…or two.
