21st Century Polymath (former Google Places Community Manager)
Introduction
21st Century Polymath

If more people set out to fulfill their childhood dreams, we'd all be a lot more excited about life. Either that or there'd be an excess of firemen and astronauts.

Pogoda is living out her childhood on a grand scale. As an only child of two creative parents, a writer and builder, she developed a vivid imagination, and ability to entertain herself from early on. A typical day consisted of painting along with Bob Ross, hosting her own personal radio show via cassette recorder, helping dad lay down some flooring, and throwing a costume party with 100 invited stuffed animal guests. It's no surprise that today Pogoda is a live visual artist, designs costumes and stages for events, builds props, hosts several internet radio shows, and loves to entertain and be surrounded by a community that she calls family.

VJ-ing (or live video mixing) is an artistic role that Pogoda discovered when she entered the electronic music scene. Modern day dance music events around the world are never complete without a visual element, and she found that this is a way to entertain alongside some of the performers and DJs she most admires and feels connected to. There are many methods, skills, and tools that each VJ employs in their own performance, and Pogoda's style currently consists of a lot of live footage elements, geometric animations, and movie clips that are altered and transformed with her laptop, midi controller, and live cam. She has a unique and gradual blending process, and finds a way to express what she sees in her mind when listening to music.

In addition to VJ-ing, Pogoda adds other elements to each show, such as costumes, dance, and interactive installations. As with any artist, her skills and inspiration are constantly evolving.
Bragging rights
I throw parties and create joy for a living. I've had some of the most unique and amazing experiences in my life, and I have always been surrounded with the most entertaining cast of characters. I've been spoiled, but I have always shown gratitude and appreciation for all that is given to me. I've driven Hummers, gone skydiving, lived and worked in a resort for several years, worked at a water park, driven an ice cream truck for a summer, traveled the country several times, have friends ALL over the world whom I love, have had the pleasure of connecting with some of the most brilliant creative minds that are emerging in our world today.

nothing, other than Google should have released G+ to the public on day one instead of doing a beta release which if they learned from what happened to google wave doesnt really work well.

My dad built his own house!  The inspiring story of how with a LOT of determination, you can build your own eco-home.

Somehow the rock formation create an illusion that you are floating. Weird but quite cool with that spectacular color of the red rock.

I had a similar post when I was in Zion National Park in Utah back in October of 2011. Mine is not as cool as yours though. Taken too far using a cellphone camera late in the evening:

While their rates are great and I got a free upgrade since all the economy cars were rented out (busy weekend)...I have to say I am discouraged from renting here again due to the insanely long time I was put on hold when I called to extend my rental. I merely wanted a quote on how much it would be for another week and was put on hold for over half an hour....hung up and called back and was put on hold another half an hour....hung up and called back and was told that they already charged me. You would think they would have paid a little more attention since I was renting for almost 2 weeks. I rent cars frequently but I'm considering switching back to Budget now after sitting on hold for over an hour!

Clean facility with helpful staff and great music! That's always a plus for me, I need good music so I'm not bored laying there. Tanning is so relaxing, I fell asleep last time actually. There's specials and coupons on their sites, like the $30/month for unlimited tanning. I started going to treat a skin condition as directed by my dermatologist but still go back when I want to freshen up my glow, or when it's feeling dreary out and I need a daily dose.

Valentina and Unity Hoops are the best! Who doesn't love hooping? Support a local artist/entertainer and learn a fun way to get outside and do something fun. Hoops are great at home, at the beach, at the park, and almost always turn a frown upside down :)

Stillwell is my favorite producer in San Diego...and the whole world really! But this description fails to mention that Stillwell Studios is also partnered with Pogoda's Playhouse (home of Pogoda Live Visuals). That's a full-service audio-visual experience right there!

Best fries I've ever tried! No wonder the line is out the door consistently. Insane selection of sauces. I liked the Mango, pesto, and anything with a little spice. Huge portions and friendly service, but don't take too long to decide or other customers will start getting antsy at the smell of fresh fries :)

I've always liked Dr. Bronner's Soaps, but after experiencing the Bath Tub at SD Decom and Lightning in a Bottle, I don't think I could ever go back to using anything else! The smell and tingle of peppermint brings me right back to one of the most uplifting and unique experiences of my life. I like to have at least 3 kinds in my shower at all times. Lavender for before bed to relax, almond just because it's my favorite, peppermint and tea tree are invigorating, and rose just lifts the spirit. I love that they leave you feeling clean and not slimey like other soaps, but are't drying. Perfect for travel since you can use them for just about everything: shampoo, body wash, face wash etc.
