This is easily some of the worst pizza I've ever had. I know that sounds like an exaggerated statement, but I don't feel I'm saying anything too off-base here. First off, the crust and dough is absolutely horrendous. It's so dry, it literally disintegrated into crumbs in my mouth as I bit into it. I've never had a pizza do that on me. There was little reason to actually chew what I was eating. To continue, the dry, brittle texture of the dough actually reminded me a bit of a cookie or some sort. However, this dough lacked the taste of a cookie. Actually, it didn't really have a discernible taste at all. It was like being served an old Italian cookie you'd have on the side with an espresso that had no taste with some tomato sauce smeared on top of it. Now that we're on the topic of sauce, my girlfriend's slid right off of her slice a few times. Another first for Tonio's in my pizza eating experience. The toppings were passable, and the sauce wasn't that bad, but they were hardly good enough to keep a DiGorno from sounding good right about now. Hungry and unhappy. The service was quite good, though.

My boyfriend and I are fans of Tonio's. They really care about the food and it shows. Menu is good across the board but I really love the pizza and salads. I try to support small businesses in this horrible economy (I have a small business too) and places like Tonio's make that easy for me since they are committed to quality and such nice people. Wish them the best!

Feel Terrible for Person writing Incompetent Business, was there for that and they came in on a split shift..The day girl left and the ticket was missing. There is no excuse for that and they should come back. The man seemed like he would have waited but the woman didn't even wait around for an apology or the 1/2 price offer so he went outside to tell her and did not come back. Yes these things do happen and we will do everything we can to make customers happy and rectify the problem they just didnt give us the opportunity. We feel proud of our pizza and wish they would give us another chance. So sorry for the inconvenience. The owners!

Update...2 years later. Still the best pizza in a town, hands down. Ant: Crawl back into your hill. This Marine has been all over Italy; Tonio's is the only place that comes close to freshness, flavor, and topping quality. Staff is hard working and it reflects in the food and service.

With a bevy of pizza places in and around Plainville Tonio's is my first choice for pizza. The plum tomato sauce really ties the rest of the pizza together and the flavors really come through in all the pizza's I have tried.
